considering you had a sad matchup, i guess i will share my "saddest random battle matchup". my saddest matchup in random battle ever was raichu into a dugtrio as a lead, with duggy having arena trap [it was in ge 6 or 7 i think]. Felt sooooo frustrating, especially when I learned the enemy team had 4 mons weak to electric. I hope the random battle sets are curated to not have trappers nowadays, because it feels really frustrating losing a mon to this is a randomized, no preview format like this.
One time I had a random team that was awful. It literally only had offensive mons and my highest defensive mon was only 164. And ofc it was my lead against a basculen that could one shot every single one of my other mons with one wave crash.
If the matchup was “the worst” it wouldn’t have been winnable, it happens 🤷. A set up sweeper you can’t deal with is a way worse matchup, just a lot less intense lol

Unfortunately, Arena Trap Dugtrio is still legal in gen 9 randbats, and it still can be a lead
