  • Rachel Bilson is setting things right with "The O.C." co-star Tate Donovan, more than fifteen years after he directed an episode of their hit series. When Tate joined Rachel and fellow alum Melinda Clarke's new podcast, "Welcome To The O.C., Bitches," the actress apologized for any off-putting on-set behavior during his time in the director's chair. "I know some of us kids were little ass****s. That speaks to that whole unaware, youthful, ignorant, just idiots … And I hope I wasn't as bad as it's come off," she shared, adding that she wanted to "apologize on record." Tate told Rachel that "everyone get caught up in" the hype of early fame and told her she was a "total sweetheart" on set.

Access really made something out of nothing by taking the time to make this video. I saw the podcast and it was really nothing.

She wasnt a kid especially in the season 3 ... she was like 25-27 years old Misha on the other hand was a teenager. So there are no justifications for Rachel's behavior, she was rude and mean to Misga and other cast members

Have you... watched the actual video?? The guy she is apologizing for said she wasn’t an issue at all, and Misha never mentioned Rachel. If anything, Misha has issues that even guest stars mention that her issues of substance influenced shooting meanwhile everyone talks well of Rachel. And even Misha didn’t directly mentioned Rachel as a person she had issues with. She mentioned there were cast members that she felt like didn’t like her.

@@valentinafangirling It sounds to me like Rachel was more just a pothead and not taking work seriously as she should. Yes 25-27 is not a child and very much an adult but a lot of people are still immature at that age so ok whatever. As for Mischa, her fans are so desperate to make her look like a victim when any and everybody who has worked with her can tell you about her antics. I do feel for her as she was the typical "child actor" who had a stage mom so she did not have it easy in the emotional sense but its kind of obvious who was the problem on that set.

@@peachlife5118 idk men even the producer complaining about the actors not taking it seriously said rachel wasn’t the issue, and everyone back then used to speak wonder of her work (hence her getting the lead role for heart of dixie right after). So if she was a pothead it didn’t seem like it affected her work ethic that much

She was actually 21 (going on 22) when the show started. 23-24 in season three. Not a kid but still

@@valentinafangirling lol yea I’m pretty sure they were burned out and not taking things seriously beginning in second season after the show blew up and they gained instant popularity from season one. Not reading scripts, remembering lines, a few of them saying the show is interfering with their movie careers even though no one in the younger cast had a movie career to speak of (still don’t for the most part except Adam Brody who hasn’t exactly been a leading man). Kind of a shame bc I think it’s a big reason the show went downhill quick. Young cast was difficult to work with and writers saw they didn’t give a shit, which in turn made them not really give a shit about writing quality material after season one. Could’ve been a really special show for several seasons similar to oth (maybe not that good but more consistent).

i love when adults try to excuse shitty behaviour by saying "i was 18. i was just a kid."...............yeah, 18 is an adult. at that age, i knew enough to treat people with the same degree of respect that i wanted to be treated with. justin (man-child) bieber constantly pulls this bullshit excuse too.
