The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug COMPLETE B-ROLL (2013) - LOTR Movie HD
The Dwarves, Bilbo and Gandalf have successfully escaped the Misty Mountains, and Bilbo has gained the One Ring. They all continue their journey to get their gold back from the Dragon, Smaug.
They got Thranduil right... they definitely got him right...such a blessing to the eyes!
I think 85% of the comments are about how beautiful lee pace is lol 😝
@Worldwide handsome Y
Well yeah. Lol
Luke Evans and Orlando Bloom are pretty hot guys but Lee Pace as Thranduil... Hes a jst beautiful. Everything about him is beautiful. Sad truth- i only watch these clips to see Thranduil 😁
As they should be.
@@msrobyn82 crei que era la única pero saber que hay mas personas hipnotizadas por thranduil me da un respiro, pues no soy la única que sufre por e
ÉL
Im not surprised he’s gorgeous
All hail the Elvenking Thranduil! how can he be so perfect, that voice, that eyes, that gaze, that smirk, that grandeur physique.
I can't with him ❤️
I recently uploaded a video on my channel that has more outtakes with Thranduil (and everyone else) in if you guys are interested :) The video isn't monetised I'm not trying to shill it, just sharing the Thranduil love :D
" Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah! Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah! Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!" - Orlando Bloom
Euranna Greenleaf I was looking for you! XD!!
Gollum telling Legolas what to do tho
Asma Khairul Azman hello poppendiepopallekoeoskrmeld kante
Orlando’s laugh is funny
I think you're 'short' a few "yeah, yeah, yeah". I read your post before I saw that part of the clip. Thanks for the extra laughs!
The elves all had such fabulous hair in this film
I loved Desolation of Smaug....Lee Pace makes sucha beautiful Thranduil
My favorite of the three Hobbit movies.
Lee Pace is so…..beautiful..
He sure is..
He is marvelous.
I agree to 100%
Hell yea
Breathtakingly beautiful 🤩
Lee Pace is amazing 😍 Love his voice sound and his elvish beautiful appearance ❤
Love the way Orlando talks to Peter like he's his dad, always trying to impress him!
lee pace is still in his role when speaking to peter
That's what actors tend to do. They tend to adopt the character and live it out before and during the filming. Sometimes to their own detriment.
The technical team is always doing an amazing job on movies. We never think about them but they’re the spine of any masterpiece.
Lee pace as Thranduil is so amazing 🥰😍
I'm here for Thranduil^^
It is so weird to see this raw footage and then see the finished film in all it's CG glory. WOW.
Why is it so fascinating to see the "making of"? Don't precisely know, but it just is!
It totally is. I love knowing how things work so it's not a surprise that something like behind the scenes makes it all that more magical to me. I saw the movie in 3D last weekend and it was FANTASTIC!!! And to see the polished product after watching the blogs...truly magical! You gotta give them DG guys a hand. I can't imagine all the digital work they do is easy. The director has a walk on roll right at the beginning...watch for him! LOL
OMG Lee Pace's so fabulous
These sets are absolutely astounding.
Because some of them aren't even sets - they're actual locations! Just mind-blowing...
The Joshinator I know! :D
I'd love to visit New Zealand.
The Joshinator and some of its not even actual locations its greenscreen and cgi!
I actually went to hobbiton for a b-bay present, seeing as I live in nz it wasn't hard getting there :D
Make a movie all about the elves and their majestic hair!!! Include our beloved Thranduil.
i wish i was an elf in the middle earth
Fantasy world same
i think we all wish that
I want to be married to an elf in Middle Earth.
What's with beeing a dwarve?
It must be so much fun to be part of a shooting of this volume. I would love it, even if only for being an orc thrown into the river.
Bindair Dundat Same here 🙋🏼♀️
I've watched Desolation of Smaug three times now and still can't get enough of it. Can't wait for the blu-ray/DVD. The barrel scene was awesome. Pete Jackson, hats off to you!
Lee Peace's elf character.... How can someone so beautiful manage to look so sly and slimy.
He doesn't look sly and slimy tho.... ;-;
Slimy?
@@melissasoh1730 LOL
..slimy? 😂
He sure does love slime.
Thranduil is the only fabulous character in this movie. No she-elf can beat him! 😍
Thranduil is Love....Thranduil is Life
I absolutely loved Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield. And I can safely said he's my favorite character in The Hobbit. I loved Lee Pace as Thranduil and Orlando Bloom as Legolas but more so in LOTR movies.
My only criticism, Legolas looked as old as his father in The Hobbit.
Also there is something different in his attitude. Legolas from “The Hobbit” looks so angry all the time and kind of rude. In LOTR he was calm and looked quite a nice guy. I like his action scenes in Hobbit though. Perfect moves and the dynamics is just... it’s a pleasure to watch him fights.
@@victoriavelkova5298 because this is before LOTR probably had a lot of learning to do
@@victoriavelkova5298 well the timeline is hobbit 1st then lotr
wow looks awkardly silent when they are acting, but i guess they are used to it
that barrel scene should be some ride in theme park!! lol
06:46 orlando talking to jackson like a little son talking to his dad about something he did haha :D
Incredible trilogy it made me laugh , smile and cry , super sad its over
I love how excited Orlando gets at the success of his fighting scenes, and getting to do cool things
omg lee pace is so hot😭
6:36 Orlando is 1000% percent done with Peter's nagging
whoops, sorry, I meant to say Andy, not Peter
@@Saph3939
I but about to write "It's not Peter but yeah" then I saw your other comment. 😅
9:39 I didn't know they had pugs in Middle Earth...XD
***** Actually, in the second movie, they do have pugs on the street near the begging.
+Thomas Kirkwood Not only pugs but Asians and blacks as well, lol I'm not being racist, those kinds of dogs and he people of different ethnicity living in Laketown, represents the status of the town as being this center of mercantilism. The town was inspired by Venice which used to be the world's largest center of trade, among silk and many other things of Asia, pugs were brought and later bred in Europe. Then of course came the people, from Africa and Asia, some just trading and leaving and some settling.
Morganna
I remember seeing at least two dogs in the second movie. ^^
like Felix's dogs, edgar and maya
We Brits sure do say "yeah, yeah, yeah" a lot :P
(Possible Spoilers?) People- The barrels scene is so amazing. Look out for that scene, the spiders, gandalf and the necromancer, and of course the Bilbo and Smaug. I'd pay full price for those 20 minutes alone. It feels like LOTR again! I know they are totally seperate books/stories for the most part, but it's a good to have that familiar feeling after watching the movie.
I know this was 4 years ago but what the hell were you smoking? How does the barrel scene compare to ANYTHING in the Lord of the Rings?
Stephen Ramirez i don’t think they meant that the barrel scene was the ONLY thing that reminded them of LOTR. They probably meant everything else they mentioned in their comment too
I think Bard and Legolas look remarkably alike.
Lol ya but different actors doa . bard looks like the role Orlando played in Pirets of the Carrabein
How..?
They both use a bow and arrows or?
I’m assuming your mean how the actors Luke and Orlando look like in real life, cause Legolas the character looks nothing like Bard the character.
@@user-tl6lo9fl7wthey looked like cousins
I feel tired just LOOKING at the process of putting together a film of this magnitude (Lol)
Damn those film locations are BEAUTIFUL!!! No other country can replace New Zealand as Middle Earth
Natalia Alienovna Romanova Morocco
The Philippines :)
the Philippines and Morocco don’t have those snowy mountains.
i would think iceland is the other place for middle earth, after NZ ..
NZ is so beautiful.. i was once in the south island , Hanmer Springs, and looking at the sky. I have never seen so many stars with my bare eyes in my life.
Also,
The editing of this movie must have been a pain in the ass, for all 6 movies...(I'm including the LoTR trilogy).
Yeah, but still.
***** oh, btw than* ;)
The way Thranduil is sitting at 03:09 reminds me so much of a scene with Jareth from "Labyrinth".
Orlando Bloom do be nailing the blonde wig though.
Excuse me, Lee Pace, I need you to stop channeling Jareth the Goblin King. That's not fair.
Im watching this in 2017 and I'm still loving it😂
I'm watching this in 2022😀
2:55 is like he's actually talking to a hobbit, rofl
O sweet, green lightsabers :P
Andy serkis is a freaking legend:D
The Barrel rider scene looked like a ton of fun to film lol
didnt know there were Pugs in middle earth
Uh thats where they originated from DUH! haha XD
I know I thought the same thing! LOL This whole movie to me didn't feel like it took place in Middle earth for some reason. It felt like kind of Norse, or Celt type film I was watching, not really a Tolkien work.
MDkid1
well tolkien took inspiration from numerous historical and medieval periods in history, so its pretty easy at times to spot nordic, celtic, roman influence in certain environments.
*****
I know I know.
MDkid1 DONT forget SCANDANAVIAN!
Anyone else want there to be a dwarf barrel ride? It looks like a lot of fun!
I would kill just to walk on those sets
9:38 The pug though....
I love how at 1:11 Gandalf just kinda dallies in, literally 1 second before "Beorn" comes. Like, no big deal.
0:27 Bilbo's Captain-Watson-voice!
3:13 Wow! The antlers look like that from the pleistocene Megaloceros!
I laughed at the pre-cgi Beorn scene. “Quick shut the door Kermit is after us!”
9:40 hahaha can anyone remember if that pug is really in the film?? He seems to suit remarkably well to that set :D
Like watching a live play...
my god luke evans is gorgeous!
Peter is so great. And but for the heavy costumes, it had to be great fun to be in much of this film. That must have been a piece of work just for Bombur running over rocks and tree roots, then getting that heavy costume soaked in a fast moving barrel. Martin Freeman is so good in this part. I hadn't noticed he was a dwarf running from Eribor.
Gandalf the great. His voice impacts more to the movie.
Thranduil.
ARGH AUSTRALIA.
This is seriously as close as we get to the film till boxing day.
I really hate this "tradition" of having the Middle Earth movies come out on Boxing Day while the most of the world gets it 2 weeks earlier!
waltdog177
Hmph. It's all about money.
Most of us have to travel HOME on boxing day... screw the shopping!
I know how you feel, when I found out we were getting it on the 26th, I was so upset I just cant wait the next 10 days! The film does look brilliant though, it's been getting fantastic views, cant wait for it!
I know! This sucks
what the hell is boxing day?
I love orlando's laugh :3
It looks like theyre fighting with lightsabers😂
OMG how much fun must this be, it's like a giant themepark
AWESOME MOVIE
definantly one of my absolute top favorite movies so far
1:15 - 1:18 I wouldn't mind living there...
Is that Ian really running in every scene? I know he's a strong man for his age, but man that would be a lot of running even if the scenes were spaced out in intervals lol
11:54-12:08 am I the only one who likes the way the camera zooms out here WAY more than the angle that will probably be produced by the "actual" camera above?
LOL the dog at 9.42
7:28 ORI!!! XD trying to paddle lol!!
Now here's where we should thank the sound effect
Praise them to death...
That was awesome! It's so weird to see what film a movie is really like.
This clip shows us how hard they try
Everyone! Thank you for your effort. :-)
I would pay so much money to get on the barrel ride. They should totes put that in some theme park somewhere.
When you see the scenes with the dwarves and Gandalf you can hear him say his lines, but that’s not Ian McKellen standing there. Just a stand-in who’s probably extremely tall, wearing a halfass wizard suit. Poor Ian had to record most of his scenes with the dwarves alone
It takes a lot of hard work
I wonder how they manage to keep track of everything..
this is sooooo perfect.....
It all looks so simple from this angle!
is it just me or is the 3D at the begining of the movie where they walk trough the mud super good 3D or so becouse it lookes super real
9:22 just leaving this here as a reference, thought this line was a mandela effect or something.
9:38 monster seen on set. Beware.
9:40 PUG ON THE LOOsE
Oh the glory of CGI (the set was awesome, though)
Will there be anymore interviews, snippets or behind the scenes of the hobbit, or has it all been uploaded
Agradecida con todos y cada uno de los que hicieron posible esta obra de arte ❤❤❤❤❤
Now, during the scenes when Gandalf is really with the Dwarves and not digitally put in, is that just a tall double or really him on a platform like in 0:28
oh my God Ori is so cute and Kili is so funny
The movie was great!!! can't wait for part three to be out
I used to go crazy on Legolas until I saw his father Thandruil. Now I go crazy on both of them, ayy! 😍❤❤❤❤❤
(11:40) Thorin...sigh
0:26 pretty legit.
The Smesolation of Daug
That crane is beyond epic...
it looks like they just playing :D haha
I wanna be an actor. Wildest dream. hehe
I'm Singolo from Minas Tirith. I like Radagast. I'm 12.
This is amazing!
this is unique! lovely :)
The movie is AMAZING in 3d. I watched it yesterday :D
EXCELLENT👍
damn theres a lot of work on a film. damn good movie.
