The treadwall - an ideal training aid, and a snip at £12,000! I'm sure Eric is a treasure trove of knowledge but whenever I listen to him he seems to be selling one thing or another.
I sport climb since 9 month with a beginner friend of mine and i boulder a bit, since the beginning i search some good content on youtube to help me improve, i really took the time and the mental focus (i m french english can be intimidating on technical vidéos) and discovered your channel like a week ago, i don t even see your channel like "oh they do good vidéos about climbing to improve on it" you feel more like a enormous database of nearly each possible details that i can need to go from my grade ( 6c : french grade ) to something like 8a 8b or something. Great channel, great work guys
Very thankful for the 30/30 method explained! I am going to try it out. Also thanks Tom for the detailed explanation of capilarity, and the appropriate training stimulus! :D
Im 61 next month and came to climbing late in life. I train with a PT who is now aiming most training at climbing twice a week. I do cardio - Up Pen Y Fan on timed tabs sort of cardio. As I get older I just train harder. Works for me. Everyone is different.
When did you start? People who start early and reach a very high level early on will find it close to impossible to keep improving when they're 60 but if you start fairly late, well sure you still have a tons of gains to make and even if they are a bit slower, you're still far from your genetic max.
@@alexgalays910 Two years ago. I climb to VS atm. I'm not obsessed with making the hardest grade I can - but I will try. The main thing is to enjoy it. If I can lead E1to E3 I'll be happy. Agree my best is yet to come Alex.
How hard is HARD? lol. 67 here, 47 years in the sport, 5.13 for 32 years without injury. Currently 13+ heading towards a specific 14a. Mostly first ascents....any grade.

Of course the treadwall is a bit more ideal, but you can absolutely do this on any wall. I did something similar on my gym's spray wall

I remember Eric sent 5.13c in the spring at the red
Probably obvious but it should be noted that Mr Hörst is sponsored by treadwall.
We do not sponsor any athletes, pro climbers who purchase our equipment are often happy to speak about how they use our walls to meet their goals.

Collagen
No
No
Tell me you know little about nutrition without telling me you know little at nutrition 😂
Look up Hooper’s beta and Dave MacLeod. Nope on the collagen. At best it doesn’t hurt you.
