I heard you talking about the plan for your kids after they finished homeschooling…getting a job to start their adult journey. I was astonished that the two older girls wanted to find jobs and work and not go to college. I hope your younger ones plan on continuing their education. They will be better prepared for much better jobs than straight out of high school.
Or they can find a trade and train for that as college at this point is such a money pit, and if you're not looking for a career that specifically requires a degree or have not decided what you want to do, it is not worth it. Plumbers, construction workers, mechanics, groomers, stylists, welders, all make great money without throwing years and hundreds of thousands of dollars into college credits.
I apologize if i stated that they were never going to go to college...one already has courses done but her career has begun very early without the degree she may in time...and the other one is undecided what she wants to do and that is perfectly fine with me I would much rather have her not waste money on something she doesn't know whe Wants.
@castironmomma we agree wholeheartedly ❤️ just as with everything we share the positives and negatives about life and then we allow them as adults to make their own decisions versus us making it for them ..we know many successful people who never had a college education and are doing very good in life .and we know many who have a college education and are now stuck with debt and no job ...you have to do what God wants to you to do so that you don't waste time or money .
Yes. Long term thinking for career planning is really important. My company won't hire without at least a bachelor's degree. It limits you to not have a degree or vocational certification, when many jobs won't consider you without it. For example , my uncle worked for the police many years ago and they didn't need degrees - now to be a police officer you need a 4 year degree.
We're looking at colleges now. I do like how Amy teaches the kids to do things around the house. I have been working on those aspects with my kids so they can be respectful roommates and be prepared to be on their own.
@@castironmommathe trades require certifications after high school. A plumber recently told me his son had to go to school even while working with him, prepare to take a test, etc., or you cannot legally do plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc. Even to do these things on your own you need a license.
I used to work in the concession stand. Our popcorn machine had removable insides. We would clean it one a week.
It's always a good thing to hear someone say "human" because we will not ever be perfect. Perfection is HE who is above us all. When we come to terms with being human expectations become less stressful.

OMG!! I do the same thing with taking a picture with my phone of the ingredients or whatever, at home or at the store, and then zoom it to see, with my "older" eyes!!! LOL It is a great hack!!

Bedroom and make the office a guestroom or a bedroom for your oldest daughter.
Because my oldest two girls share a room and it is big. The office doesn't have a closet and we will be using it for other things .I appreciate the advice
Noticed you have you outside law table on the grass and out in the sun. Do you all like eating with the sun beating on your food and skin ? Wouldn't it be better under the shade of the roof overhang? Just saying and wondering. I live in South LA and its hot and muggy like FL.
The time we usually eat out on it is dinner and it is shady there..but we did move it to the patio..we were expecting a couch set for there but it didn't.come in yet

@@amymaryon The recipe I've used calls for something like Bisquick, egg, milk, vanilla, sugar, Oreos, and powdered sugar to dust over them.

@@amymaryonYou can use parchment paper in the air fryer as well.
I have deep fried hotdogs before. If you like hotdogs that are roasted over an open fire like when you’re camping, the deep fried hotdogs taste similar to that. Doesn’t take very long at all in a deep fryer.
