I am so grateful for videos like this.I had an alcoholic mom and never met my dad so I taught myself just about everything I know when it comes to cooking.I really don’t understand still how to grocery shop
I am happy my videos have helped you out, that is my whole motivation for this channel! I am sure you have done the best you can with what you had and I admire your drive to learn these things! Thanks for watching!
Don't feel bad, I don't feel good at it after 35 years, and didn't start out with the challenges you had! One thing I find super helpful when I end up w a collection of "random" ingredients is to search Pinterest for recipes with one or more of them. It's been a lifesaver for me! 🤗
I am in a much different stage but I budget $200 for our family of three monthly. It is a hard budget to maintain with current grocery pricing but we make it work by shopping sales and making many things from scratch. It is a harder thing to do when you are just starting out but I suggest trying one new skill or practice that might save you money and add a few habits a year so that it isn’t overwhelming all at once. We save lots by meal planning based on what is already in the house. Great video 😊
Good information regardless of how old you are. Time I go to the grocery store and try to. I also have a King Soopers and Safeway. Good content thank you
Curious if your freeze dryer is something you use often and how cost effective is it? They are expensive, especially for two. I purchased a dehydrator which I really haven’t dived into yet but it’s on my to do list.
The freeze dryer can be cost-effective depending on how you use it. I use it for making our own shelf stable camping meals, food preservation since I am a gardener and as a means to reduce food waste (freeze dry before leftovers go bad). So I would say it depends on your purpose but with everything my husband and I do it has almost paid for itself.
I’m so greatful for my Mom she taught me how to shop, how to figure price per ounce. It has helped me tremendously over the years.
That is awesome and such a useful skill to have! Moms are truly the best!

I'm the same way with the list! It's embarrassing what I can manage to forget without my list. 🤣
Same! It's like I walk into the grocery store, and my list in my head just dissappears 😂
I definitely budget. That's why I like putting it in the cart, it adds it up as I go
I'll have to give that a try one day to see if I am going to be within budget!

Thank you for the support! 🥰 Yes, I am learning new ways to save constantly. That is a tight budget, but congrats on making it work!
Good morning. Great video. Just subscribed❤
Hey! Thanks for watching!
I put my.list in my walmart cart, and delete as I get each item. Or, walmart delivery because I don't want to go🤷♀️😀
Both are great ideas and the delivery option would personally save me on impulse buys!
Know your bottom price that you’ll pay. Not all sales is a good deal. Shop the perimeter of the store.
Yes 100%, I plan on going into that in future videos, such a key piece of information!
