Just started golfing 3 years ago….I walked for the first time a month ago and shot my personal best 86….went home bought a walking cart and now I walk all the time and it was the BEST decision I’ve ever made. Keep up the great content and exceptional golf!!
Good on you John. Honestly…I’ve never been in a golf cart…always walk the course…more relaxing and great exercise.
#10 is just raw beauty. You feel like you are isolated from the world out there it's so calm. Nothing to focus on but golf and the bird calls. One of my favorite courses in the world.

grant i played this course at the end of april literally two weeks after it opened. Still to this day one of the best courses i've played and one of the coolest atmospheres and feels to any golf course. love the video.
The bird was probably a turkey buzzard. They are huge!!

I used to live in Pinehurst. This site was another golf course until about 10 years ago. It was called The Pit. We used to play it all the time. It closed down and Pinehurst bought the land then sat on it for quite awhile. Course looks amazing and seems to still have some of the same routing/holes from The Pit. So cool to see what Pinehurst has created!!
Grant you are so very right about walking. When I was down to a 2 hdcp my playing partners always wondered why I walked after teeing off ... Because you see the germs, the contours, the breaks while walking up ....I totally agree 💯
What a ride! Sat down with a cigar to relax with my favorite golfer and was on the edge of my seat the entire round.
That was great round for having never played it before! The 640 yard Par 5, the 265 Par 3, and those long, long Par 4’s make this course a real beast when coupled with those greens. Rooting for you the whole way. Editing by Sky was, as always, amazing.
Your play end to end is dialed in. With a caddy and some course knowledge this exact round easily 64. Incredible round. Lots to be proud of.
I played number 10 in early April I was number 223 to play the course .. such an amazing course , it’s tough and the greens fast .. I enjoyed it very much

Funny how golfing has developed over the decades , I have never used a golf cart , walked every course I have ever played on , yes , I think walking the course does give you a totally different perspective , you do feel connected . Great vlog Grant and great golf .

All 10 courses at the Pinehurst Resort are spectacular. I have only played #2 and #4 but I driven by or been in others clubhouses. Next trip down to see my daughter I want to visit the USGA and Hall of Fame next to the Resort. Within 30 minutes drive are 30 plus courses to play. The food in the Pinehurst Village is worth a trip.
That is what I like golf in the uk, walking everytime, more enjoyable, better for your health, better appreciation for the course contours and surroundings.
I only walk….it makes time to enjoy the nature, chat with your golf mates and get a good lay of the land. Just finished volunteering at the Beachlands Victoria Open - PGA Tour Americas here in Victoria BC Canada. What a fantastic time. Come play next year Grant!! Your official invite! Its so fun to watch you golf, Grant. Your swing is so beautiful that it looks perfect. Your overall game is better than most pros. Your cool and calm demeanor is the best ever. You never get upset when you miss a putt or hit a bunker or anything. Kudos, because no one comes close to you.

10:30 100% agree with this. I've always said this to my mates, walking the course just makes you feel so much more connected to it, In a cart you just rush through and don't take it in. I'll only ever take a cart if it's way to hot to walk.

I am a 12 hcap and my golf trip this year was to Big Cedar Lodge - friendly courses and so much fun. Might need to think about challenging myself with a Pinehurst trip next year if I can get that bad boy under 10! Thanks for sharing the course with us and putting on a show!

Honestly, I enjoy all of Grants content, but some of my favourite has to be when it’s just him alone being excited to do the thing he loves doing… playing golf ⛳️ and admiring the beauty of a course. Phenomenal ball striking Grant. Golf is amazing. 7000 yards and yet the difference between a 71 and the course record was MAYBE 6 inches. So many burned edges. I felt for you every one. Keep up the great content and even better golf!
Been using the 15 year old R7 taylormade 3wood my great grandfather used for the last 3 years and it’s my fairway finder might keep using it longer now
I played number 10 and the big bird you saw was a eagle. On the long par 5 there is a giant nest in the trees on the right side of the tee box. Also I don’t know if you remember but on the cradle me and my friend saw you and you signed my towel and my friend shot even on number 10.
Walked for the first time last week. Torrey pines south. Really enjoyed it
Grant…I watched the whole thing…..good job….my brother in law lives on #6 and plays every day there at one of the courses….great to see this video…..he was up here in Maine with me a few weeks ago talking about this course, so I was very interested to see this.
This was an incredible video! You hit your irons flush, all day. Great looking course, too. I played number 6 and can say that they all look spectacular. The guy at the beginning, David, I believe, was super friendly and welcoming. 👏
What a great course and honor to be able to play so early. It’s crazy how golf can literally be a game of inches. Probably 5-6 inches combined from shooting a 64
You made reference to the state of your golf game and from an outsider's view who has watched your videos and game for the past year or so it's a pleasure to watch. It seemed like you were largely in control of your golf ball all day long. I thought the worst shot was the 3-wood on the 640 yard par 5, but your attitude is great and seriously you never got hung up behind the wire-grass or in the native areas or went wildly off course. I thought the putt on the 385 yard 16th should have dropped for you, but what a great round at a course you've never seen and at that length.
BTW I entirely agree about courses which are a little bit out in the country with not many people around. It is peaceful out there. In central upstate NY we have many courses which are out in the country and all you really here are the birds rustling in the trees, and the wind. It's one of the great things about that kind of golf. Your RUclips fame is opening the doors to get you on to these types of courses and thank you for bringing this to us. I made a hole in one on #7 when it was "the pit". It looks like the same hole but cant tell for sure. Most of the holes look totally different. The pit was awesome and 10 looks awesome too!

We stay in the condos on 5. Think hole 16. Our balcony is maybe 15’ from the green. Really cool to sit there and chat it up with the groups. Make bets on each one. Pinehurst has so many great shops and places to eat too.
Love these videos. Your team’s camerawork show the holes in a way that’s better than on tv. Love your positivity. Also, you are right about keeping a fairway wood in the bag when you find one you like. I’ve got an old ping 4 wood that I love like my family.

If ever back in NC you should try out the Mike Strantz course in Asheboro, NC. Tot Hill Farm Golf Club was ranked in the top 10 hardest courses in America back in the early 2000's. I was a greenskeeper there when I was in college back in 2011. It has recently been purchased by someone and they have done a lot of work to it and brought it back to more of what it was originally!
I never considered a trip to pinehurst before…..but I am now. The #10 course is excellent
Grant you swing looks the best I have seen from you since I been watching. You are so much more consistent, especially with your driver. Beautiful course. Got to have a hot putter to go low. My best round ever is a 64, wasn't playing my best, but my putting on the back nine was ridiculous.

Yep, as long as the course is laid out without crazy walks between holes. Sharing a cart is the worst for you game, zooming all over the course looking for your buddies ball, then rush to your ball and try and hit it. Walking with a caddy is tops

I shot -1 today at my local course only my second round under par I birdied the last hole after I missed the green to the left but putting off the green lately I’ve been making so many putts and drained a 35 footer on punched greens to finish -1! I’m usually around 1 or 2 over for 9 holes and been so close so many times to under par! It Felt amazing! Love the content Grant you’ve been killing it!

I live in western North Carolina and I’m the assistant golf coach here at our local high school. We have some of the best hidden gems in golf from personal experience. Another one enjoyed and what a course to play unfortunately living in the uk its unlikely for me to get there at my age of 70 but when watching you i almost feel im there with you i even find my self willing the ball into the cup on your near misses keep up the great content you put out i look forward to it

Grant I've left you comments before how much I love your channel. You are so good at moderating these, it's become my new favorite evening and Sunday activity. Better than most golf tournaments if you ask me. If I could make one request, maybe because I am getting older but I've noticed some of the content creators out there in other segments are adding action type camera movement. The only critical thing I could ever say about some of these rounds is the camera action can be a tad nauseating on some of your close up dialog moments. This is in contrast to the smooth drone flyovers and somewhat steady drive shots. Just keep in mind that most of us are prob watching on a big screen TV and so don't let your camera guy get too loose or editors too crazy with the action camera movement. I just recommended you to my 74 year old parents, and I'm afraid that might come back as their complaint 😅. But anyway, dude love love love your content. Please keep up the great work, you are hands down the best golf content anywhere.
I love the channel too. But for me the abrupt jumpy editing when Grant is talking is very noticable. I normally don't care about editing or artistic intros but those jumpy cuts to eliminate any pause seem so extreme once I noticed them.

Aim barely left and try to draw it into the slope... no.
Make that swing aimed 10 yards right, and you'd be close, but, otherwise, based on where you lined up, you need the high soft cut/fade... just like the putt on 15.
You are great at the firm right-to-left on putts and full swings, so either use them or learn the high soft fade. On putts and full swings.

Hey Grant impressive round to say the least, 1 over on a new course that you e never seen before is nothing to sneeze at!! Could have easily been a 65/66 I saw maybe 3 putts miss by an inch and maybe one or two more shots missing by shortest of margins!!! Feel good about that round man.

There used to course on that property called “The Pit”. It was a fun course.. kinda like Tobacco Road but not quite that extreme. Used to play there a lot and had my best score ever on that course. 64. Can’t wait to play this one.

Walking golf courses is amazing and absolutely enhances the golfing experience. Quite often, it’s also faster.
Really enjoyable watch on a challenging and beautiful course. The course may have won today, but you should be happy with your valiant effort. I've just suffered herniated disc so my summer of golf is over but the 50+ mins watching you play has got me pumped to focus on my rehab.
So glad you mentioned the walking aspect of golf, a lot of my friends don't get it. I swear I play better when I walk, and I enjoy the round more.
