One thing that should be considered is that the Second War could have ACTUALLY ended in a Horde victory if Gul'dan had not betrayed the Horde by running off after the Tomb of Sargeras taking the Stormreaver and Twilight's Hammer Clans with him. The elves of Quel'thalas would have been wiped out along with most if not all of the Wildhammer dwarves. The Dark Iron dwarves might have been able to remain hidden beneath Blackrock Mountain in Shadowforge City to save themselves.
The surviving dwarves and gnomes of Khaz Modan would have remained trapped in Ironforge and Gnomeregan respectively. The humans of Alterac would have survived as subjects of the Horde and Gilneas would have been destroyed unless it was willing to make a bargain similar to Alterac. This would have left the island nation of Kul Tiras as the last free kingdom of humans. It shows how the actions of just one individual can change the course of history for good and/or bad.

BTW this is what reforged ought to be:
great cutscenes, immersion in the lore, great models, perfect voice acting and much more.
It's such a shame AB (far cry from Blizzard) actively banish people working with love from their projects...
