Honda Umk-431 brushcutter service

Yearly maintenance of my HONDA UMK-431 brushcutter.
Last lawn cut of the season followed by powerwashing the trimmer head, changing the crankcase oil, re-greasing the trimmer head, emptying the fuel tank, running dry and inspection of the sparkplug. All ready for winter storage!
this will make my HONDA GX31 last!

Do what I did to mine. I have the very same model. I replaced the gear housing bolt with a grease nipple. I use a McNaught grease gun to lubricate it. Works a treat.

@@tmdrtn Glad you liked it. Also fit a cap on the nipple so it doesn’t clog up with dirt. Protects it from rust as well. The bleeder valves on automotive brake callipers are the same size as grease nipples so they’re readily available.

@@andregreen8040 in my Honda and my craftsman when I pump grease into that port, it comes up the driveshaft there’s no seal on that end or piss poor seal, but the grease will go up and lubricate the driveshaft so don’t worry about putting a little extra in there❤️‍🔥🇺🇸
