Fun fact about Coraline, the strongest and most fearsome entity is not the other mother. But it is the doorway itself
The other mother says "Don't leave me here, I'll die without you" the more Coraline doesn't die. The more the tunnel starts to decay, it's growing hungry. In the book it's stated to be sentient, like it's some entity
So the other mother lures children in, kills them. While the door consumes it, like a spider and it's trap (Literally. Like how the end went)
So not only can the door change everything about the world in the other dimension, but it does it to suit every childs most wants. And the Mother if I had to say, is mostly just the enforcer, like a pawn to a king

Обожаю "Коралина в стране кошмаров", по этой маленькой вселенной очень много есть теорий, а мультфильм можно разбирать на подсказки очень долго. Хорошо передали характер Коралины, её искренний ужас произошедшего, но сомнения того, что это реальность.
