Nothing beats dingy racing... except maybe dingy racing on a river...with tides...and a spinnaker...and flukey winds...and a hand held 360 camera. Great work! Loved it when Hannah gave a big smile for her close up. 16:33

Second to the joy your sailing brings (jealous actually) is my enjoyment of the light jazz you have chosen. Cheers!

Yup, great sailing, really enjoyed watching. And love the music, as usual, especially that Jazzy 12 bar around 26 mins and the guitar/banjo? combo at the end. Thank you! ⛵️🍾❤️

Well done you two, I don't think you guys would ever enjoy champagne sailing, you would be bored too soon!
I'm glad that you managed to put the drone footage to good use at the beginning 👍.

Hi Paul, thanks for letting us use it, it does add a different perspective to the normal on boat pictures

Well sailed. You're very lucky to have class racing. Most clubs seem to only offer handicap racing these days (yuck!). It was so different back in the 1970s and 80s when I did most of my dinghy racing.

Your right, class sailing is hard to find now which is part of the reason we now race at MYC, Most of their racing is fleet racing (Wayfarer, Squib, Sonata, Dragon)

Mk4 'barge' is very satisfying to sail. Reasonable start, sensible decisions over the spinnaker hoist puts you in front, kept the stick in the air - Well sailed! I'm always in awe that you still find time to get the camera out.

Also😊, you do have 'velocity made good' in the gliding sports, where it's occasionally a choice of how much time to spend climbing in a thermal while perhaps drifting in an unfavorable direction. And ballooning.

Great vid and very informative. This (excellent) style of communication really helps others understand the thought processes involved in good seamanship.
BTW, I noticed something at 3:05. (I sailed this summer at Priory SC in Bedford on lasers and had similar issues after each gybe 😊)

Much enjoyed your video having sailed a Firefly on the Medway in the 1960s and a Wayfarer in the 70s. Only word of advice is that the tide always turns inshore first hence your problems after MYA1. Our Wayfarer was a glorified jelly built by Moores. The new Hartley boats are so much better. So much fun creeping up against the tide and wind and avoiding the mud. Heartbreak reach has obviously not changed at all!

Hi Great to hear from you and yes heartbreak reach will be just the same as you remember it :-)
