    I wasn't informed to warm the food or bend the tube to avoid adding too much air to the tube/feed. Thank you

    Thank you a thousand times for taking the time to record and post this video. It was greatly helpful when I needed it. I sent the link to my veterinarian as one of the good videos. I did see some videos that I did not think were as good as this video. Again, thank you.

    This was the video my vet sent me on how to help my cat with his e tube and it has been so helpful. I was struggling to give him the medicine but the way you presented it has made it so easy and assured that I am giving him all of his medicine and none of it is being wasted. Thank you so much!

    Thanks a lot. I was going crazy about how administrate medicines with the tube. Would it be possible using a third big syringe for crushed pills stead of the little one with adapter?

    • @EthosVeterinaryHealth
      @EthosVeterinaryHealth  5 лет назад +2

      Hey Gema! We are happy this could help you. We would recommend that you reach out directly to the medical staff who is working with your pet because it is imperative that they know the size of the tube and the adapter that was placed at the end of it before anyone should answer this knowledgeably. So sorry, but we would hate to give you the wrong information from what your primary care veterinarian would want. Thank you again for watching.

    Thank you for the video it is extremely helpful. I have a question though, the tube extends at least 12" from the incision so after I inject the water there is still a foot of water in the tube. I don't want to push it through because then there will be air in the tube for the next feeding. Is it alright to keep the water in the tube until the next feeding or should I push it through?

    • @EthosVeterinaryHealth
      @EthosVeterinaryHealth  3 года назад +1

      Hi Beylah, you can just leave the water in the tube. No need to push any air in!

    • @ohaijedi

      We’re not sure what illness my cat has but he is no longer eating or drinking, an e tube was put in him and we’re able to give him all of the calories, nutrients, and medicine he needs. I know this is a month late, but in case anyone else needs to see this, I highly recommend a feeding tube (of course talk to your vet first). The feeding tube has giving him a chance to fight off the illness he has as he has more energy to fight it. I hope your cat was given the medical assistance they needed and they are doing better. 💕

      Actually my cat didn't need the tube. VET fed her with syringe for 3 days first week with her meds. That sort of brought her appetite back a bit. I feed wet food by spoon daily myself now.. She is almost 15 and doesn't eat as much these days. But, I'm happy she eats on her own! Hope your cat is ok too, Tiffany❤

    Hi, any tips on bathing a golden retriever with an e-tube at home?

    • @EthosVeterinaryHealth
      @EthosVeterinaryHealth  4 года назад

      Hi there. You do want to keep the area clean. Typically your doctor would have sent you with discharge and cleaning instructions. I recommend giving the doctor who placed the tube a call to ensure you are cleaning it properly. We do not want to override any advise a medical team member has given you.

    • @EthosVeterinaryHealth
      @EthosVeterinaryHealth  4 года назад

      Oh ok. Again, I would still check with your dog's doctor because they may want you to hold off on full bathing for now. But if it is necessary due to allergies, dermatology issues, etc., I would reach out to your doctor just for approval on that. It will depend on those variables as well as how well behaved your dog is in the bath- you don't want the tube to be disturbed.
