- I clipped together pieces from the bluegrass song from the King of the Hill episode, "The Bluegrass is Always Greener", to make a full-er version of the song. King of the Hill is owned by 20th Century Fox. I DO NOT claim any rights or ownership of any of the animation, voice acting, or source material.

Rest in peace Johnny Hardwick, the Dale Gribble Bluegrass Experience won't be the same without Dale Gribble.
RIP Rusty Shackleford
A core part of the show. R.I.P 🫡
Brittany?
O shut when did he pass?
Are you fucking serious, he died? WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP DYING WHAT THE FUCK!
Who knew that Boomhauer had the voice of a Country Angel.
Kristophor Davis oh well
Pretty sure that Boomhauer's singing voice is Vince Gill.
Haven’t been this surprised mr wind goes country
...literally everyone knew Boomhauer could sing..
Everybody knew it.
Fun fact: Singing is a form therapy used for people dealing with speech impediments or impairments. So Boomhauer being able to be understood while singing is perfectly logical. Dang ol fix my speech talkabout blue moon banjo man, dang ol hood song man
Is it true
Speech impediment? Some people just talk like that in Texas
@@BottomOfTheDumpsterFire Yeah country people with speech impediments.
That isnt a speech impediment
Isnt the joke that he's austalian and thats how taxan hear boomhauer's accent?
me: I hate country music
boomhaur: blue moon of Kentucky
me : KEEP ON SHINING
I think this is bluegrass which I personally like as a hater of country music.
Yea!!!! Same

This isn't country, it's bluegrass; big difference...
NOT COUNTRY!
Man that Boomhauer yano, talk 'bout he gone playin and he 'ol singing lead man dang 'ol talk 'bout he got some them man dang 'ol... mad skills, man.
C Stilwell pretty pretty banjo
Seeing the words written out makes me think just what the writers had to write for Boomhauer's script
Lmao

😮😢🫡✌️🇬🇧
I think i may have found the hillbilly version of ozzy osbourne. they are both hard to understand when they speak, but they sing very clearly.
jacob casler I knew someone would have said that.
I just came from bark at the moon too.
I think this might be better than the original song.
jacob casler He's got a lefty guitarist too. (Tony Iommi and Hank)
@ the one and only rusty shakleford This video is flipped to avoid copyright takedown.
I love Dale playing air-bass while playing his keyboard. He just looks so gleeful!
Gabriel Schleifer watched this episode when it came out. Didn’t notice that until just now. Thank you
I was wondering what he was doing lol
That was my favorite part.
It’s the fine details in this show which make it so great.
he's so fuckign cute
Is there anyone more American than Hank Hill and gang?
Christopher Wilson Dukes of hazard
Tobey Keith and Uncle Sam ;) lol
Native Americans
There’s people more American, but is there people more Texan? No
I would believe not my friend 😂

@@GR-uc1gq who passed away?
This song is actually responsible for my love of country music when I was a kid. To this day I wish they would have done a full cover of this song.
this is bluegrass, not country
@@headphonic8 Bluegrass is a subgenre of country so what I said is fine.
@Will Na but that will be an awesome idea for my next life. For now these hands are for masturbating and cooking.... Not necessarily in that order.
@SoftserveSodium Feel however you want but everything I looked up says otherwise. It us a sub-genre and that's the end of it. I think fans just don't want the thing they like to feel less special. Its like when someone calls anime a cartoon. Fans lose their minds over that shit but in reality anime are Japanese cartoons. No matter how you feel about it that is the definition.
@SoftserveSodium who pissed in your cheerios?
Anytime we hear a Charlie Daniels song, my dad, brother, or I will inevitably say, "Connie Souphanousinphone, everyone! She's only 13!"
Nearly a decade later can we give some huge props to blackwind45 who edited this perfectly
For real man that was flawless!
I love that they make it that Boomhauer sings so clearly... hilarious :-)
Michael Milsom He mumbles when he talks but he’s clear when he sings
Makes me think of Mel Tillis, he Stutters when he Talks, but not when he Sings
Whenever you sing a country song, you have to put on the "country accent", y'know? That's why he sounds so clear; he is speaking in a different accent.
It's honestly true for most people in my experience. Even people who speak different languages, when you get them singing together it's like everyone just feels it and relates to each other at the perfect moment. its beautiful.
@Paul Martin "I have been trying to get past this page for 20 minutes, will you gentleman please calm down?"
Dale: Dang ol CIA.. puttin cameras in the fire detectors..
That episode is so great. Also I love how Dale views himself as having a full long head of hair, lmao.
Let's listen to the Dale Gribble Bluegrass Experience one last time in honor of Johnny Hardwick. R.I.P
He’s throwing pocket sand with the angels now.
He's playing his string bass *(Which is really a keyboard)* up in the sky, keeping intruders away with pocket sand.
That guy face reaction killed me when dale said she only 13😂😂😂
its charlie Daniel's
The artist of the song, "Devil Went Down to Georgia".
cancelled due to the Cleveland show. smfh..
@Mike Lient I don't think king of the hill should be brought back. It's too good to risk being ruined.
It was cancelled cause Brittney Murphy died ( voice of Luanne ) thats why the last episode has no closure of any kind
@Mike Lient for sure I just personally didn't care for the last episode. What was it called Kahns BBQ I think...

Anthony Abad #truth aye dumbfuck, shut the fuck up
They literally went like;
Bobby: hey dad, I want to join in and participate in a hobby that you really love, something you’ve been hoping I would do for my whole life!
Hank: fuck off.
That’s the jug that Hank keeps stuff in, the music jug was on the other shelf.
To be fair that was a jug hank kept stuff in and not an instrument
One of the meanest things Hank has done for no reason.
BOBBY HOW DARE YOU ENJOY THIS WITH US
Naw, man. You don't get it.
That's the jug Hank keeps stuff in.
He’s a miserable excuse for a parent yet a real man like Bill has nobody.

Oscar Madrid Thank you!
Oscar Madrid written by the great bill Monroe and this version is performed by Vince Gill
Larry Evans you are correct sir. before king of the hill i liked elvis version. now this one is my favorite version
Oscar Madrid I was forced to listen to that song in school lol
HE HE HE
I like how this show, despite the fact that it’s a literal masterpiece, was filled with diversity of every kind, and yet was canned because of the Cleveland Show....
Actually it was canned because the voice actress for peggy died
That’s a crap reason to cancel a show. Lots of actors playing parts have died and the show went on. Her character was the least liked anyways
No, you’re right. The actor for Peggy is still alive. I believe the actor for Louann passed away tragically but that was a few years after cancellation.
KOTH was cancelled because because they were pushing hard for the Cleveland Show. Mike Judge was pissed over the matter because this would end up being a third Seth McFarland program on Adult Swim/Fox or whatever- and would end up failing miserably. I agree, completely. The fact that the KOTH is still getting a lot of fan attention on YT and Hulu is that Proof enough that there was such a huge following of fans.
@@treyparnell6314 oh my bad then

i don't even like country but i love this song if the dale gribble bluegrass experience play it
whoisperfectbeats this is bluegrass!
Country ain't the south, it's the north... all work and no play.
Comparing country to bluegrass is like comparing boy bands to heavy metal. World of difference friend.

I was pissed when it switched to the stage and connie wasnt up there
Yeah, Charlie Daniel's is a pretty good fiddler. But he's no Connie.
And a cartoon.
Drummer Kam Praise Break show
Perfect for Epstein and Clinton.
Dale be playing his string bass which is really a keyboard in heaven now. Rest well Johnny.
I love how they’re all talented musicians just outta no where
I just automatically assumed Hank owned an acoustic guitar lmao
They all been hinted at knowing how to play instruments.
Hank and Connie had been seen playing their respective instruments previously. The others, yeah, it came outta nowhere.
@@FoodStampHero Hey, now. That's Betsy. She's Hank's second woman behind Peggy.
To be fair, only Boomhauer and Connie are playing melodies. The other guys are just playing accompaniment. Not impossible to whip out your old guitar or keyboard and play a few notes if you still remember a bit of it
She's only 13!!! hahahahah Best part
Charlie Daniels facial reaction makes that comment lol
“Without music, life would be a mistake.” ― Friedrich Nietzsche
lol
Boomhauer can sing in the clearest English xD
LoveMyUnusual you’ll be surprised how well people like Bommhauer could sing I had neighbor that had a band and talked liked him but he could actually sing clearly lol
The part of the brain that governs speech is separate from the part that governs singing. It’s why Ozzy Osborne talks like a mumbling mess but can sing so clearly.
@@eddiekalista3222 whoa that’s crazy but makes so much sense

This is.... genuinely beautiful, what the shit?
I never appreciated this when I watched this as a kid but this legitimately really nice?
congrats, you just discovered bluegrass
Wait till you find out it's relatively easy to learn to pick a roll on the banjo! Great instrument
Welcome home, friend.
This will always be my favorite scene of the show. It perfectly encapsulates what I love about KoTH. These characters get put into some crazy situations sometimes but at the core of the show they're just a group of close friends and family living their lives and having fun. I think the show would have been a success animated or live action because the characters are so relatable.
R.I.P Johnny Hardwick, aka voice of Dale Gribble. He had many of the funniest moments on the show and many memorable quotes. Keep on shinin'
I wish Vince Gil had released this version of the song. I like how it’s faster and peppier. His released version is slow and sad feeling
RIP Dale youll always be loved 😭
Why is this genuinely the best version of this song
My thoughts exactly! 😁
Rest in Peace Rusty Shackellford.
The Dale Gribble bluegrass experience is over 🕊️
The editing is perfection.
This is still the best show ever 😭 BRING IT BACK!!!!!
Bobby is me whenever I hang out with my friends who can play instruments.
Did you do exactly what Bobby did it and were you scolded for doing that? Lol
I can't play any musical instruments. XD yet.
As a person from the south we do spontaneously start playing bluegrass music and then transcend into an Opry
Rest In Peace, Dale.
Yeo man, I'ma gon' take ol' verse right now man... "Blue Moon of Kentucky keep on shining" Haha, that part cracked me up right there!!!
nobody gunna mention this is probably the happiest you see Dale?
Dale preclaiming "Connie Souphanousinphone everyone! She's only 13!" will never not be funny.
I love dale pretending to play the double bass when playing the keyboard
Watching other versions of "Blue Moon of Kentucky", this is my favorite version :D Boomhauer rocked this.
"I'll go get my banjo! Or Maybe my Accordion! .......... Okay I'll get my Banjo"
Flawless edits. Only someone with true rhythm could edit the transitions so flawlessly and stay with the count. Hats off to this wonderfly executed and extended version of this rare gem.
I love jam sessions like this, when everyones having fun and just being friends and rocking out

My dad says it's like Vegas if it were run by Ned Flanders. Whops wrong show
Vince Gill was Boomhauer's singing voice in this episode.
"That's the jug I keep stuff in" lol savage
That moment when king of the hill casually drops one if the catchiest songs of the century
Dale miming holding a bass is the greatest thing I've ever seen

That Vince Gill singing. 😂. It’s so fire.
0:43 I love Boomhauer’s smile there makes me feel like he’s thinking “dang ol little lady is alright” love this show🥲
RIP Elvis and Bill Monroe. Gone but not forgotten.
Good job dude, the longest version of this song on the net. Better then the origenal IMO
"Saw that thing, Connie" And that's what Connie did
VInce GIll is the voice you hear coming out of Boomhauer. Him, Charlie Daniells and Yakov Smirnof were the special guests for this episode.
The way it shoots to Boomhaur and he’s just butting his head ripping banjo gets me every time.😆
My favorite version of this song
Poor bobby just wanted to join in, the jug is a good touch to bluegrass music
Does anyone know of a version of this song that's just as fast paced? All my life I've heard slow depressing covers, and even now I can't find one that's upbeat.
Alan Jackson's version isn't this fast paced but it's not bad. Carson Peters, a little kid, actually does a pretty good version too.
Why do you need covers when you have THIS version??? LOL!
Look up Tom Petty’s version
probably versions that are more on the rock n roll side like Fogerty but none with the pure bluegrass sound that Ive been able to find. Ive searched too.
Bill Monroe did a rerecording later in life that was around this tempo
Best version of this song ever made
Literally the reason I love bluegrass so much.
Boomhaur mumbles for speech, but sure sings like Vince Gill!
LOL
Bobby put that down 😂
Damn, now only if Boomhauer can speak as clearly as he sings.
This is my favorite episode.
