Thanks for keeping this music alive in it's pure form at the beginning. Most folks just see the concert footage but fail to realize the hours and years put in to get to that level.
Thank you much for this!!!! This brings me nothing but joy and happiness and tears I love Lynyrd Skynyrd They Will Live On Forever in my heart. There up in Southern Rock Heaven Tearing it up and Jamming for The Angles and Jesus
I'm just thankful I have now seen a legitimate picture from inside of Hell House, and no longer have to rely on the image my mind created long ago, of that legendary place where those timeless songs, from my best memories, were conceived. Thanks for sharing, when opportunities like this are fading so fast. It is truly appreciated.
I have loved that song from the first time I heard it. I didn't know that this was when it was written! Now there's a bit of 2 Skynyrd songs being written in rehearsal/soundcheck! I appreciate this one!

Woman of Mine big time! I just love that song! I expect dumb ol' Al Kooper kept that song from getting on a album. He tried his best with Simple Man and Ronnie stopped that in its tracks.
When you writing songs it comes from nothing really but from the soul and heart , what there doing is working out a song from scratch. Not many musicians can do this and obviously you can't do it dude. Three minutes of seeing this is great, cause this is how they wrote there greatest. So learn something from this instead of rubbing it in,long live lynyrd skynyrd.
Nice, that's where it all went down ,working hard and playing hard at the Hell House and if felonious Intruders attempted to boost their gear , they'd make great🐊bait🤘🎸✌️🐾jf
He probably asked, “what should I wear to the photoshoot, for the album cover?!” And Ronnie probably replied… “That shirt you got on… It’s, Nuthin’ Fancy!” 😎
And there all gone. Thats a trip for me personally. My parents are both older than any of one in Skynyrd by 8 or 10 years & are still active people today. But then again, my parents are clean living people & Skynyrd kind of weren't. Who knows without the accident if Ronnie, Steve or Cassy would still be here. Maybe. Great tape though, it sort of puts them down on a realistic level like any other band just having a practice one day.
As noted by others, the photo is a bit newer than 1973 as that is a 1975 or so Chrysler product in the background. I’m sure that it wasn’t made to line up with the date exactly. LOL.
@@scottharrison9083 could be either. I had a 77 charger, and the tail end was the only difference visually. I'm pretty sure the grille was different also.
If the audio is 73 the picture ain't from 73 because that's a old Dodge Charger and looks to be a 1975 Charger or a Chrysler Cordoba but the grille tells me it's a 75 Charger
...too bad this song never got a proper studio recording back in the day - ony a live recording from a radio show is avaiable. Leon composed the music, like in "Travellin' man" (which also was not recorded in the studio back then, but in 1997 the then-current line-up did that, including a "duet" with some old Ronnie vocals from a live recording). Maybe the current band should take "Woman of mine" and get Ronnie's vocals, Leon's bass and maybe even Billy's amazing piano solo from the radio recording and record their own stuff in addition? I mean, look at what Paul and Ringo (and George..?) did with Lennon's "Now and then" demo to make it "the last Beatles song".. ;-)
@@wingnutt4200 how long have you been playing thier songs? I know more Skynyrd songs than most people can name. See my above comment; they didn't even have the year right. The whole thing is bullshit.
It still amazes me that kids in there mid 20's gave us killer music that we all listen to today, and from the Hell House, true hard working legends
Thanks for posting, any history of Skynyrd is priceless. Especially when I lived across the St.Johns river from these fellas at the time.
I wish we had a few hundred hours of these.
I could listen to this kinda stuff all day!! Thanks for posting! Keep em' comin'!!!
Amazing. A relic rehearsal of a song with only one known recording.
great version of this song on one their 73 Florida Radio shows, song has a really long great Billy solo, it was released at some point a few years ago
Very talented band that worked and worked and worked..
Thank You for this soundtrack here, It Is Great, Cousin Figel

Damn, woman of mine is one of my favorite Skynyrd tunes , any more hell house stuff hiding out there?? Needs to be posted, nuthin hidden

Should have been a hit!🎸🎸🎸
Yes it should have! Too bad there's no one left alive to ask why it wasn't. It was also written by Leon .
Awesome

This sounds like the old days in the practice room tuning and showing a riff to another player where they can grasp it and then JAM!!!
Great picture and vid
Hell yeah
I wish I got the chance to meet them. I would tell them to always fly commercial
Not funny! I don't care how long it has been, still a tragedy that I don't find anything funny abt
Fanfriggingtastic
That picture isn't from '73, I can tell you that much. That's a 1975 Chrysler Corodoba parked outside which was a brand new first year model.
That part of the picture is 1975. The rest is 1973.
Odd how they seem perfectly still while practicing.
who drove that car?
Good eyes you are right
Didn't yet have "Corinthian Laythur"
Out of these kind of creative music sessions came great songs like “Sweet Home Alabama.”
This could have been a Malboro commercial👍🏾😁🤳
Ed King appears to be wearing the same shirt hes wearing on the cover of Nuthin Fancy.
He probably asked,
“what should I wear to the photoshoot, for the album cover?!”

Because it was taken the same day , it’s the same photographer just taken shots of them playing now

Sounded pretty good at the last sort of bluesy, a tint of Allman Brothers
Charger or Cordoba in the background.
Cordoba

1975 Corodoba. First year of production.
it's a 75 Charger can tell by the grille the Cordoba had a different grille
Fine Corinthian Leather!!!
We need a free bird take from hell house, if it even exists

How did these guys avoid the draft? I vaguely remember these days. Guys this age were worried about going to Viet Nam not playing songs.
I know Ronnie had injury to ankle playing football and had screws in his foot.

I hear a piano. Didn’t know they could fit a piano in the hell house. These no pic of it

What guitar is Allen playing in this picture? Doesn't appear to be his Explorer.

This could be anyone im not hearing a Skynyrd vibe in this.
It’s Lynyrd . Woman of Mine. It wasn’t released on a lp. It was played on radio show.
Not anyone because it's Skynyrd (I believe,its- women of mine) early days , experimenting finding their sound 🤘🎸✌️🐾
