This keyboard is my holy grail simply because it includes A DIVEKICK CONTOLLER!! (please make a divekick vid featuring this keyboard ... Ive been waiting for ANYONE to do it... And now you've got the channel AND the controller)
@@Rand0mN0rwegianGuy It’s $100, so not a cheap board - but it really is quality all around. I went in thinking it might be just a gimmicky board ‘fun board’ - but it’s now my daily. Do wish it had a 10-key version though

I dont understand how 8bitdo is killing it and be affordable as well. I still am using my favorite SN30 snes style controller for 3 years now. Their 50 dollar arcade stick that i modded with sanwa stick. Stock buttons are sanwa level greatness. And now this keyboard for a little less than 80 bucks
This is the second best thing I've heard from them recently, next to their upcoming N64 controller they're making for Analogue. A proper offering for an N64 controller has been a long time coming. I've always said they should make one and I'm super happy they are, can't wait to try it out. A keyboard tho I didn't expect at all, you're bringing the news to me, thanks. If I didn't already have *way* too many spare keyboards, I'd jump on that one, everything about it looks sick (who am I kidding, I might, just because).
I have 3 8bitdo controllers. They are what I consider the best aftermarket controllers out there. I also recently bought their N64 Hall effect stick into an old controller I have bought for $10. Feels much better than the OEM stick. They are definitely a company that produces good quality products. Thank god because there’s a lot of junk out there
@@christophervanzetta oh dang, they make n64 sticks? Didn't catch that, thanks for the info. I should grab a couple if mine ever breaks again. Otherwise I'd say not only are they they best 3rd party controller maker, many of their offerings are, IMO, better than the first party ones, and for cheaper at that! Xbox (One and especially Series) doesn't come close in build quality and button feel, and the Switch Pro has a poor DPad. Other than that the rest hold up plenty, if only still not when it comes to pricing. I'm still surprised at how cheap I got my Ultimate controller at launch (55$). Was not on sale or anything. Seems they raised the price like a week after, so idk. I bought more 8bitdo than I really need, but I got all their highest tier products, and yeah. More than competitive quality at a very affordable price. It's a shame they don't sell retail, the displays are chock-full of PDP and PowerA junk. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone, I've been burned enough times to know to avoid those brands.
I got it when it came out and I absolutely love it, though I did switch the stock switches with some linear wuque morandis and it's so comfortable to type on it's amazing
Put the extra buttons on the floor by your feet. One less thing to reach for while gaming. It's like the back buttons of MKB. Although that said I would like these for my controller too.
This keyboard is cool if you don’t care about keyboards or a good value 🥺🙏 aesthetic > form & function with this board, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, just like you can do something that does all three at the same price point if you look. Cool product, but definitely meant for people who want a decent (and convenient) prebuilt board with the retro gaming aesthetic
it definitely soundsl ike its well under 40$ 100$ keyboards nowadays have lubed switches, gasket mounts, aluminum casings, custom usb-c cables, RGB, Foam added to reduce ping. this things is the bare minimum@@Kevintendo
@@Kevintendo yeah and honestly 8bitdo as a brand name typically comes with a good value as well. Not overpriced offerings which is why I was so shocked with this keyboard. I’m hoping that 8bitdo tries again as they have to know it didn’t do well with enthusiasts as any keyboard channel I saw who reviewed this thing had nothing but negatives outside of the keycap color.
And for anyone reading. My recommendation would be the Yunzii AL66/71/104 (depending on how many keys you want). By far the best $100 keyboard you can find.
0:52 Wait, are my eyes deceiving me? Is that supposed to be Bowser on the top right corner all fattened up? 😂 Don't worry, I've been to that part of the internet before lol
Idk if I’d say it’s the best budget board. For the $110 price tag you’re looking at Varmillo and Ducky boards that are higher quality and both have wired/bluetooth/2.4Ghz connections
Love this thing and I really do want one after the holiday for CRPGs, but hate when people call a $100 (more or less depending on which online store you find it) keyboard a "budget" model when big box stores regularly sell (at a lower quality but that's to be expected when you're buying budget) mechanical keyboards for between $25 and $50 🤷
@@AL-go2mv a t-shirt with the word supreme printed on it that cost 40 cents to make in a sweatshop overseas will sell for that much as well that doesn't mean it's an appropriate price or reasonable value for the product - " companies are greedy and will overcharge for anything" isn't exactly new information and doesn't make a $100 keyboard that cost $10-20 to make "budget"
Quick edit: the Switches are actually “Kailh Box V2 white”, not Gateron. If they were Gateron they wouldn’t be as clicky
Had to edit out mentions of the switches used in my video 😂 I originally said gateron as well
@simoncoweII Cherry is probably the worst one on the market, potentially slightly better than Razer's switches, you are aware of that right?

Hoping we get some coverage on their upcoming Ultimate C controller for the Switch!

They listened to the feedback and made separate numpads + calculators for these as well. Comes out in a month or so.
Volume button
Shows a knob
Been using this one for a while and i highly recommend. Replaced my keychron k5 even though i usually prefer a numpad
nice. Anything else you want to add? The keys are pbt right? do you miss rgb? Is it not too loud ?

This thing had me super interested, but damnit 8bitdo. A backlight is required for me! The only thing that kept me from snatching it up
Normally not a fan of the missing numpad, but there's something appealing about a big red button.
I am getting this for my Christmas for myself.

Nah
Thank you! So many of these cool keyboards don’t ever get a full size option

8bitdo products slap, their pro controller especially

i would buy this if it was only wired, not really in need of the bluetooth or the 2.4 wireless thingy.
