By the way, your ability to stay completely unbiased during your reviews, even while employed by a GM controlled business, speaks volumes of your high character and proper upbringing. If I was in the position or had the means, I would hire you to be a director in my company.

That’s really not too bad for a 2006 GM car

The STS replaced the Seville, which was actually a very nice looking car for a while in the mid to late 1990s, I knew a lot of people aspired to drive it. I think it was known for having quite a lot of mechanical problems but I have seen plenty of high mileage and abused examples that kept on going. But the STS that replaced it was a complete disaster, it looks like a Malibu.

always loved the Seville/STS though never knew anyone personally that had one it was Cadillac's first smaller end full size car 17 Ft long in comparison to the older models of for ex. Deville series My late maternal grandmother had a used 1979 Coupe Deville when I was a young girl loved that car you never felt sudden starts/stops or frost cleaves/potholes/speed bumps in the back seat and also in those days gas wasn't unleaded yet. used to sleep like a baby in the backseat of those big old cars not so much the economy size/mid sized or smaller type luxury cars such as this one or the ATS/CTS etc. rented a 16 CTS the first time I accompanied my dad and younger brother to Washington DC for Awesome Games Done Quick Video game speed running convention in January 2016

My girlfriend had a high mileage beat up 06 and oh boy those things don't age well. The plastic trim that goes to the defroster vent in the dashboard cracks nasty and the ignition button failed one time, cutting the engine and leaving us without power steering. Not a hard fix, just a new button from LKQ but still annoying. And finally, when i changed the battery, the clock decided not to show the time anymore. But they drive nicely. I liked the power and handling, and it was just the V6

Yeah Cadillac really had a cheaper feel in these years. Some materials good and some fit terrible. You do an excellent job articulating the results. BTW a DSLR camera would allow maximum 4K channel playback which is epic on desktops for detailing.

The interior doesn’t even look like a luxury car, even for the time period it looks like a Chevy with fake wood and hard plastic everywhere

It’s real wood and only hard plastic is around rear vents. It’s also looks miles better than my poverty spec Audi A6.

You're trippin. The interior is close to being similar to an escalade of that time (2007-2014 model).

This car should be like a perfect example of how not to design a car interior. I mean, that's just depressing. Every single inch of it looks as cheap as you'd expect from the cheapest cars on the market, yet, this was supposed to be a "luxury car". Early 2000's really were the dark ages of GM.

That’s funny bc it looks miles better than my poverty spec 2004 Audi A6. It was also supposed to be a “luxury car” but it doesn’t even have independent rear suspension if you got the front wheel drive version.

Do you remember the late 70's to mid 80's, those were truly the dark ages of GM.

Besides, the 98-04 Seville had a gorgeous interior. They cheapened the look for the 05 model.
