My Wayne Goss 16 is my favorite brush in my entire collection. I’ve wished I could get a back up for years so I was thrilled when he announced this launch and immediately ordered the eye set. I can’t wait to receive it! Did anyone else catch at the end of Wayne’s video when he said everything is coming back? Not entirely sure what he meant by that but🤞 I will eventually get a backup of my favorite #16!

Yes #16 is a fan favorite and I purchased multiples to ensure I would be completely covered if Wayne stopped making it. Another of my favorites from his Anniversary II set is #07. His new E4 is a close dupe, but only close.

My favourite eye brushes were the 16 and 17. I'd love an 11 and 12 in the dyed goat hair bristles, and a back up of 13 and 14 in that original release. A few years ago after Christmas, Beautylish posted those original brushes as coming and then quickly took the post down. I stayed up to see if they might be the brushes that were being announced. They never were reposted. I hope we see that original face and eye set next year!
The Tourmaline pallet is the most stunning look I've seen on you! You should have it as your everyday pallet for all time. Please can you review the new Viseart pallets? My daily combo is viseart eyeshadow with my WG brushes!

Normally, I would buy all the new Fude brushes, but-wow-so so many this year! I already got the Rephr Max and mini eyebrush sets. Now we have Wayne Goss (love his brushes), more Sonia G (❤), AND Nikki LaRose collab with BK beauty (not Fude, but fantastic nonetheless!!)
Perhaps I should just tell everyone that Christmas is canceled because I’m buying brushes. 😅😅😅

Sheila! First of all, YOU are the best. Yesterday was such a disappointment. On Monday, I had three new products out for delivery from FedEx and they literally never came. I usually have some standby content ready to go in the case of an emergency but with all of the holiday things I’ve been doing for other brands on the side, which I’m grateful for, I haven’t had time to make extra content for my own channel. So I was actually completely stuck and chose to do nothing rather than something hastily put together. The card is actually from Helen from a year or two ago and I just found it so I thought I would put it up since it’s holiday themed. I’m so glad your brushes are out for delivery And I hope that you are heading to the airport for good and fun things only.
I wish I could have gotten the entire set, but I just couldn’t do it right now. I did order two of the F5 and two of the E2 because the shapes were unusual to my collection. I can’t wait for them to arrive!
I know these will sell out and take forever to restock, but I will keep my fingers crossed that when they return I’ll be able to get them all or at least a lot of them!

E2 is awesome for the hooded eye or smaller eye, almost like a pencil brush but less dense, love it!

Yes Rebecca 🙌 you know i love fude brushes. I bought 3 eye brushes, ths will be my first time trying Wayne's brushes, i love his makeup especially the blush/highlighter duo, i have coral rose and omg that highlighter is absolutely fantastic, it's 3 yrs old now and still feels like butter, i wish he would bring that shade back because i would repurchase in a flash. I ordered from the UK site and delivery was free and my order came really quick. The only two brushes sold out on the UK site is the E2 and E3, so glad i picked them up, they are very unique to my collection 😊 Hi my name is Debbie and I'm obsessed with makeup brushes and eyeshadow palettes 😂

I pulled out my WG Smoky palette yesterday. I need to use that. I also have to use my blush and highlighter, lipstick and lip gloss. His brushes are fantastic!!! Thank you for reminding me about WG.

I adore Wayne Goss, and when I saw his video saying he was coming out with new brushes, I was so excited for him. I was thinking about purchasing his brush set as my starter brushes, but I just couldn’t swing the price. And it’s not that they’re that expensive, because I know they’re worth it, but I just can’t swing it at this time. So I wound up purchasing the complete set of Rephr eyeshadow brushes and their most popular face brush with their fantastic sale. In fact, I just received them yesterday. Are they ever nice! I just couldn’t beat the price!

I bought mine direct from Wayne’s website (I’m U.K. 🇬🇧 based so it made sense) However I did feel guilty because it was Beautylish who first made it possible for me to buy Wayne’s gorgeous brushes 😊💕

Wow, you answered a question I had. I was wondering if, for the rest of Europe and Continental Europe in particular, if it would be better to order from Beautylish.

I googled the entire brush set also on Beautylish, Rebecca, in my basket, with Dutch address etc, so that i could see the taxes, that was about 94 dollars, which is a lot, but not a surprise for such an expensive set. After ordering at Wayne Goss UK, the package is now on the way, and i had to pay over 124 euro's taxes, which never happened in my life before. But i am not gonna complain, i admire Wayne. And there are multiple reasons for this Rebecca: 1. Dutch Government did already have the 21 pct VAT, now, on every package above 150 euro's that comes from outside the EU, another extra 17 pct can be asked, not always. We pay lots and lots of taxes here. But you remember i think as you lived in my country. 2. Bigger companies can take their part in this, like Beautylish, Pat McGrath and others. But smaller companies, can be a shock indeed. Than you really have to really love there products, for instance BK Beauty, also loads of taxes. But i love the brushes! And Wayne Goss not not start long ago, and is a small company. So i have all understanding now, but, of course, next time i would order from Beautylish such a big set of brushes. The tax costs to NL are steep from UK since that bl**dy brexit, Rebecca. That is not Wayne's fault. Maybe, when his UK company gets bigger, he can also do something in that. But from UK companies only Cult Beauty do really a lot in that. Do i dislike Space NK, no, they have a more than fantastic reward programm instead. Liberty i like, but i can only build a store credit, so for live shopping. So only when i order something over the phone at Suqqu Liberty for instance, they can use that store credit on my behalf. But the con of that is, that Suqqu Liberty only uses DHL Express, so the full and full load of taxes. So, for beautiful beauty things, Niche Beauty Hamburg is of course my no. 1! Than Cult, than Space, than Beautylish, than Liberty. After that 24 S in France. So, no, Wayne is starting, it's not fair to blaim him for our idiot Dutch taxes. But yes, better to purchase from a bigger company, it appears again now, they mostly take a part. Have a nice day!!!

Ok I bought the first brushes 10 years ago, and although over the past 10 years I also bought some Sonia G, Chikuhodo, reph, etc., I still like the WG the best and keep reaching for them over any others, I love them that much. 10 years and going strong. I'm really afraid that I won't like these new ones as much. It's like brush technology or something has changed over the past 10 years, the shapes have changed or maybe I'm just set in my ways. Back when I bought WG years ago the CAD$ was almost on par with the $USD so I didn't have to take out a second mortgage on my house to buy them lol. How do you think the new ones compare to the old ones? I'm also not a huge fan of white bristles.
First of all, I totally agree with you. The Wayne Goss brushes I have from 10 years ago feel just as elegant. What I like about these is they do mimic that kind of artistic style he had on those brushes with the pointed tips. I really do feel they are the same quality. I am enjoying them very much. However, I totally see your point about the exchange rate and paying tax and it might just not be worth it unless there is some sort of a sale and a restock. I’ll tell you, the foundation brush is amazing.
Is that the out of stock one? I'll go check. The only foundation brush I'm using at the moment is the Merit one, and I do like it. I only used to use tinted moisturizers so never bothered with foundation brushes, but maybe I could use one. @@NotFitforPrintBeauty

I have never met a Wayne brush I did not like. I even liked the foundation brush from the edit collection and I never like any natural hair foundation brushes. As far as the prices, I think all fude brushes are high (everything is expensive now) so I don’t find price point unreasonable considering the product and the quality of the product. I will definitely purchase some of these brushes . The problem is his other brushes have held up so well to washing and wear that I’m not even sure which brushes I would get. Thank you for this review. I always like watching you are and your friendly manner. You just put your make up on very cute… Like you were on a mission! Nice'

Your look turned out beautiful. I was very excited when I heard about these brushes coming out. However cost too steep for my wallet especially so close to holidays to spend on myself. Not saying quality not there but really a big chunk and i recently purchased the mini rephr eye set which I love.
It's hard because there are SO many great releases and we can't have it all. So....I totally understand!

I use a big eye brush to buff and blend my eye shadow. I'm not very good at blending. The larger eye brush would be great for that. I've got small hooded eyes. I think Goss brushes are great for that.

The F5 is not a sexy looking brush but it is (very truthfully) one of my most used/loved fude brushes and I have a lot of fude. I use it for any brush or bronzer. I use it to blend brush or bronzer out if I happen to have applied it with another fude brush. It is beyond a doubt the brush that can make my skin/makeup look airbrushed the most easily. I have had one of these from years ago and I hadn’t looked for another one at Hakuhodu yet so I was glad he brought them back. They’re nearly identical other than the handle. I bought two more because there is just no doubt I will always use these.

Hi Rebecca, I enjoyed your video and had a chuckle when you said, "it's a Rebecca thing." I purchased the full set. I noticed an off-putting scent when I washed the foundation brush. Then I washed the other face brushes and noticed that it was there when the brushes were wet. It mostly dissipated when they were dry but not on the foundation brush. I didn't have any issues when I washed the eye brushes. I've got a gazillion brushes made by Wayne and never had this kind of issue. Did you notice an odd smell when you washed the face brushes?
I did not but TWO OTHER viewers have...with these and with other natural hair brushes. It could be the solvent used by the artisans. Could be that it's natural hair??? Either way, definitely wash and, when dry, problem solved. Haha. Thankfully. A hair wash needed for sure!
Thanks for letting me know about your experience and that there have been other cases of this. This issue first came about when I washed them and while the smell dissipates somewhat as they dry, it doesn't go away. The smell on the foundation brush doesn't diminish at all. I've washed them at least 4 times with two different shampoos. I wonder if it is the glue as it seems to be strongest in the middle of the brush hairs. I might see if Beautylish will allow me to exchange the face brushes for another set. I've not experienced this with any natural hair brush. Thanks again for letting me know about your experience and what you're hearing from others!

Rebecca I was able to order E2 and E3! 🎉 I was so sad bc they sold out while I was sick and was shocked they came back in stock so quick. So darn excited to play with them and all my new palettes 😊

Oh my goodness, I died laughing when you flopped your hand around showing how lip brushes usually “flip flop’ around - so true 😂 - I just got a LE lip brush, and though it is absolutely lovely, I still have to use my pencil brush to smooth out my lip line - thanks for telling us the different ways you use brushes - I thought I was weird doing this 😊 (only a little, but did so out of lip wrinkle desperation one day) - now,I feel justified!

I still use my Wayne Goss brushes from when he first released them years ago. I also purchased a couple of his air brushes when he released them a while after his first sets of brushes. The air brush is so versatile and one of my faves to this day!
I would have loved to purchase the updated brushes, but I will have to wait until after Christmas! I am in 🇨🇦, so the exchange and duties makes them quite a bit pricier for me!

I’m so glad he finally released brushes again! It’s been several years since he released brushes, maybe the last set was the edit line. I didn’t grab these because I knew Sonia G planned to release brushes which I have purchased. While beautiful and Wayne Goss is so beloved, I wonder if other brands have filled the void he left when he stopped making brushes. I really looked forward to his yearly Holiday brush as well as acquiring an extra brush with the Beautylish Lucky Bags. I might grab a couple of them…who knows I may change my mind and get the set since I am a completer type, we shall see❤
When he didn’t do a holiday brush the past year or so, I had a definite sad void. I totally agree with you.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty It’s pretty mi h been since he came out with his makeup line that he stopped making brushes. I think the edit was the last one, well whichever ones had the little hooks on the end, which I didn’t like. It just didn’t seem needed. It’s not like I’m hanging them on something while not in use, just make a beautiful brush. That’s it. 🤣 Even with my slight irritation at the time it took him to release new brushes, I fully appreciate his artistry and have many many of his brushes, which I do love. Wishing him continued success and i hope he doesn’t stay away as long the next time!!
I agree. I am always like, "Why is there a string here?" hahaha. YES! It seems like there's been a topsy turvy ride with the brand including, we know, some terrible issues with an unscrupulous bad actor who stole tons of money from WG. How do they compare with Rephyr (also Japanese goat hair)?
The rephr is a little bit more of a coarse feel which has its place as well but it’s a bit different in terms of touch.
I just bought my first Wayne goss brush from this collection (the F4), and while it is nice, it doesn’t look or feel any different from my many, many Rephr brushes. I’m having a hard time justifying the price for WG, but maybe through usage I’ll notice a difference. Idk.
Fair. Totally fair. It is very true that rephr offers amazing savings on fude brushes and they are LOVELY brushes.
One more question, do you do anything differently to clean natural hair brushes as opposed to synthetic?
I actually clean the synthetic as carefully as the natural. That video is coming soon. Many requests have come in for an update cleaning video 💕

I bought the foundation brush although I wanted the face set but after the sephora sale I didn't want to spend to much.
It's true. There's too much available all at once and, even on sale, it's still spending.
I'm dying to get them but I have a lot unused ones from Sonia G and Wayne that I purchased through the years as crazy as it sounds

I did a cleaning video AGES ago and I need to do a refresher on that. Have put it on my list to do. I use the solid Beauty Blender soap and sometimes the MAC pink cleanser. Will do a video tho.

That’s a tough one because I love that foundation brush. But I’d say as far as sets, the eye set.

My husband thought I was nuts for spending all that money on Rephr brushes and I said they are special not cheapy brushes ( and I like them ) he said brushes are brushes u don't need them I said yeah u don't need another freaken skateboard either u buy what u want and I'll buy what I want. 🤣 He would totally die if I bought a set of these . Idk why he doesn't understand cause he went to art school and painted and not all brushes are made equal!! These are beautiful but I think I'll stick to rephr for now and some fude but I want to try what's up beauty brushes maybe a few singles of these but I know it's an annoyance trying to get WG brushes from the past trying but I always got to support my girl Rebecca!!
Some of those eye brushes look like face brushes they would take up my lid to forehead 🤣 I prefer brushes like rephr 1 that's my favorite brush .

Sephora DEFINITELY needs to learn from rephr. And beautylish, frankly. Regarding purchasing brushes, it's so true....we all have something WE deem worthy and others don't seem to understand. It's irksome.

There was NO goat smell even before washing. A shame! haha. Yes, the saikoho goat hair is the same as rephr, not the special edition rephr but the majority of rephr. 🐐

@@nicolebenigno8599 lol both are great brands just depends on your preference and budget. This WG set is a large set. So it’s a lot more expensive. Rephr brushes is WG biggest competitor I think. They are the most similar. But Rebecca and I have most of the brushes lol. So we can help if you want certain type. I prefer natural hair for eyes and synthetic for face. But that’s me. I use them both but if I had to choose… maybe get 1 or 2 and go from there.

Do you ever clean your brushes with cinema secrets? Curious to know if that's safe for these types of brushes
Hello Mary! I have never tried Cinema Secrets. I think I heard one of the Welsh brothers say it's a no no? Maybe someone else can remind us. I use the solid Beauty Blender to clean and sometimes the pink liquid from Mac.
New favorite thing: During the work week, I’ve been dipping my brushes in Micellar water and wiping them down right after use. Then on Saturday’s I give them a good wash with soap!
Cinema Secrets is fine on the Rephr’s in my experience. But in general, I prefer a more natural cleaner.

I treat my Wayne Goss brushes kind of the way I treat my Sonia G brushes. They have very high status and are treated very very well. I tend to beat up my rephr brushes. They are the ones I throw in my bag unprotected. They are the ones I wash while I’m talking on the phone and not paying attention. They are the work horses whereas my Sonia and Wayne Goss tend to be a little bit like divas in my head.

I’ve seen solid bars in US, but if you can think of one possibly available in Australia, I’d appreciate it. I have the Sigma beauty brush cleansing mat, but I need to find a product. When I was living in Italy I used an ordinary ph liquid soap and it worked immediately!

After the Réphr release of the Mini-brushes which I bought, the Sale in which I bought the entire range of eye brushes, buying the Set from Oden's Eye along with the Christmas Palettes, picking up more Lethal brushes and some ABH - I've had enough! It's not that hard to pick out some eye-shadows to fill a nine pan palette and throw in some lipsticks in slightly different packaging. I just don't get it. They're the only brand that never came through for us. At least I got a consultation prize scoring the Runway Palette from the 2021 Holiday Collection. Unfortunately, there was only one available or I would have bought more. I know that many missed out on that one. I heard it had sold out about an hour after being released! I did pick up the Oden's Eye Christmas Palettes, yet only the two from last year. I'm not interested in buying them each year as I honestly don't need anymore. Givenchy finally arrived in Australia but with only six palettes going to the major Department Store of David Jones in Sydney! Naturally, nothing is going online, so just as well I had got in early and on their list. I'm all done for Christmas Releases now, yet we do have the Sales! This is where I'll need every inch of self-restraint. As far as make-up is concerned, I've got everything that I've been wanting. I scored all of the Prada and Rabanne Eye Shadows and lipsticks from the latter. Even the new Byredo Quint. I bought ND's Xenon and I Need A Nude Palette when first released and then another four Midi-Palettes! The only Mothership that I would like is the Decadence, which has suddenly disappeared from stock again. Even at 30% off, it's still not worth it for me. When I could buy them for AUD$112.50ea last year, I don't see $157.00 a bargain. She'd have to do better than that. With the great releases we've had this year from Prada, Rabanne, the 2 Isamaya Ffrench Industrial Palettes etc., I'm swamped. I've even run out of places to store all my palettes, especially since the 6 new ND Palettes, plus more from June. Then I have all of the Guerlain Quads, 8 in total, plus 3 Tom Ford Quads from eBay. I then have the 7 Givenchy Lipsticks, even more from Shiseido, a few Gucci and the list goes on. This year has been overkill. My boutique where I buy my gorgeous leather garments from has started it's annual Sale (at West14th). They ship internationally for free if your interested. After my Jewellers has its annual Sale, I'm out! I'm too good of a bargain hunter, that's my problem. Although, I didn't even go looking for the Burberry Runway Palette, it just showed up in front of me! I know Armani usually has a Sale around this time, but I'm only sticking to the few items that I regularly use, as I've bought from them twice this year already. I'm ignoring my apps! Worth noting that there is NO DISCOUNT/incentive to buy these brushes as a set. I added up all the prices of the individual brushes and they work out to $610 canadian (beautylish prices) and that's the same as the set of 11, also $610. I am not saying that he needed to give a discount, he can charge even more for the set but worth noting if you are planning to buy them and can't afford it all at once, you can choose to just buy brush by brush as you see fit based on your needs and budget.
