Hey Lovelies! I was SO excited to hear that Wayne was releasing new brushes--I hope my initial thoughts and comparisons to his other shapes is helpful for you. Some are out of stock, but the full set, the face and eye bundles, and some singles are available. rstyle.me/+Pp0r2aXFASEK7K00oo0okA (affiliate) You can sign up for email alerts on Beautylish as well for out of stock items.
Thank you darling. So so appreciate it. Thank you ❤❤❤❤
Congratulations on a gorgeous launch, Wayne!
Yassss I’ve been waiting for this review 😍😍😍
☺️☺️☺️
Thank you so much for this amazing review, definitely need them in my collection
It’s always my pleasure to talk about brushes!
Thank you for your very thoughtful detailed reviews!
I’m so glad you find them helpful. Thank you so much!
Thank you for such a thorough video! ❤ I purchased that E6 push brush, and it is perfectiion!
It works so well with Danessa Myricks' Cushion Liner, which I put in my shopping cart on a whim. Yay!
Oooh…I have a wishlist growing in case DM
does a nice Black Friday sale…I’ll have to look at that liner!
I love Wayne’s Brushes! I have the black set from 10 years ago and they’re still soft and still like new. The new set is SO much softer! And the F5 is my FAVE brush ever. Love it.
Yes I agree, these ARE even softer! His brushes really do hold up so well!
Thank you for demoing your new WG brushes. I really appreciate your MUA perspective on the versatility of these brushes. Loved the « ventriloquist doll » comment as you were applying blush (from now on, this comment is going to echo in my head when I apply blush). For me, it’s going to be the eye brushes. Great video!
I’m so glad you found it helpful! And I literally laughed out loud when you talked about the ventriloquist doll 😉
Love the comprehensive nature of this video.
Thank you so much ☺️
New sub here after searching for reviews of Wayne’s new brushes. Thank you!
Hello! I hope my thoughts were helpful. Thanks so much for watching!
cant wait to get mine monday , ordered the whole collection
Oh Congratulations! Enjoy!
Yay! They actually restocked so I was able to order E2 and E3 which are the brushes I wanted. So excited!
I love the Edit collection as well, but these seem even higher quality as well. More firm and not as flimsy? 😊
Oh I’m so glad!!!
@@KeepBeautyReal1 loved your review. I have similar eyes and are smaller so I was also a bit worried at the size but loved your review. I need that face brush you wanted too. Did u end up getting it?
@@DanielleNicoleMakeup that one hasn’t come Back in stock yet. I’m stalking the site and on the email list lol.
I do think that these brushes are less…whispy? Swooshy? Than his other eye brushes.
I enjoy using a brush like that for foundation, I don’t need it but that’s probably one I’d try.
Like the one I got? Or like his new foundation brush? I mean, I’m sure BOTH are lovely.
@@KeepBeautyReal1 the one you got and used for foundation
I bought the full eye set and I am obsessed. I hope to get the face set well at least I really want the foundation brush.
They are SO good, I’m glad you are loving yours as well ❤️
I love love love brushes so much. The prettier the better ❤
❤️❤️❤️I agree!!! Do you have a favorite set?
@@KeepBeautyReal1 my most used are BK Beauty and the Sigma Christian Dominique collab.
I have to say those two crease brushes look very interesting.
They really are! I’m loving them so far.
I've been a victim of the fast cart before. I feel your pain 😕
I just couldn’t believe it! 🤣🤦🏻♀️
My first dip into fude was WG and I’ve ventured elsewhere including rephr. Rephr is fine but I always go back to WG, Sonia g, chikuhodo, koyudo, etc. The longevity of their quality is unlike the ‘affordable’ fude in my opinion especially as someone who actively cleans their brushes
I do agree-the longevity really provides a lot of value!
Oh I did the whole quick fast cart thing with the recent Sydney Grace restock sale and I forgot to add a dual chrome shadow I'd picked out. 😢
Ohhhh no!!! That’s the worst 💔 and we certainly don’t wait to pay shipping on ONE shadow
Wayne Goss has been on my wants list for way too long now his brushes and products look amazing 💞 do you like your rephr brushes do they stay soft or do they get scratchy after awhile especially the eye brushes ???? I'm sending out love to everyone 💙💛❤💚💜
Most of my Rephr brushes are still great, although I have a few that shed a bit. Obviously Rephr prices when there's a good sale are hard to beat, but I have to say that I don't find them QUITE as soft as Waynes brushes.
Thank you for this review! I’m definitely tempted by the WG eye bundle but also on the fence bc of the new Sonia G release and want to make smarter more selective purchasing decisions and use of my Beautylish points. Which would you say is more worth the splurge- Sonia G or WG?
That’s a great question.
What shapes are you missing in your brush set right now? 4 of the brushes in the set are rerelease. So if you love those
brushes and want more then maybe that’s the set for you. But if you want to try a different style of blender, then obviously Wayne’s set would
Give you that.
Do you like thick handles? Sonia’s new set has a thicker handle than previous sets since she’s using a softer wood. I don’t love a chunky handle, personally. (That being said, I have some rephr brushes that I like and I think those are pretty chunky with no curvature-but the brush quality is good)
The only brush in Sonia’s
new set that intrigues me
Is the new Builder S…but I have a stupid amount of brushes and I’m trying to pick what’s unique for me too
(Which is why I didn’t grab Wayne’s whole set).
That’s not really an answer, but hopefully it was helpful? Any other questions, let me know!
I have and use both brands, and they’ve both held up beautifully.
@@KeepBeautyReal1 Thank you so much! I appreciate your insight and recommendations. I’ve slowly over time collected the Pro, Sky, & Fusion eye sets from Sonia G and love them! This newest release as lovely as they are honestly isn’t my favorite of SG releases between the chunkier handles and lighter brown wooden aesthetic (I love her colored handles which sounds silly but at these prices you have to weigh all pros/cons 😂).
I’m thinking of holding off for her holiday release that she eluded to in her blog last month. These WG eyebrush shapes are very unique though so I’m very curious to try. Basically it’s between WG eye set or hold off for SG holiday for my Christmas gift to myself lol. I mean I want it all but my wallet just can’t 😂
@@stacibee224 I get it! (And I prefer the lacquer finish as well)
@@stacibee224 (I responded earlier but I don’t see it so I’m re-responding). I completely get pacing your purchases and being selective, very smart! (And I prefer the lacquered handles too! 😉)
Sonia G.’s new brushes are not 100 percent saikhodo ( misspelling) goat hair, whereas the WG brushes are saikhodo (misspelling) brushes which are almost but not quite the highest quality goat hair. I was going to buy the new Sonia G. Brushes and I know they are good, but for that reason I decided on the WG brushes.
Do you know if he is going to bring back those original black bristled brushes or are the "first edition" ones the only ones going forward?
I don’t know for sure, but I’d imagine that all of the previous brushes are discontinued and this is the first new set going forward. I’d also guess that just like before there will be more styles and types going forward. Great question, but since he didn’t address the other brushes in his launch video I’d say they’re not returning.
Hello! Do you know if any are similar to the airbrush brush!?
Ahhhhh the beloved airbrush. I have two that I chwrish! When it comes to the shaping, there isn’t anything that’s exactly the same. Do you have one? I’m just wondering what you enjoy using yours for and maybe I can suggest one that would work well!
@@KeepBeautyReal1 yes I do!
I like to use it for setting powder on the face, I think it’s the flat paddle shape and the softness together that seem to pick up and place down powder in the most invisible and flattering way! I basically just use the flat side to pick up and then gently pat powder on my face and so far I have not found any other brush that works like this 😅😫
I know your pain and I'm soooorrrrryyyyy for you.
Thank you for being there on MP in my moment of need 😉 This is just a test of patience...she will be MINE eventually!
@@KeepBeautyReal1 I believe for you
I just adore Wayne goss I purchased his e5 pencil brush it’s super soft great quality washes beautifully
rephr? is that you
There are maybe some similarities. I feel like the shape, length and finish of Wayne’s handles are more elegant than the matte shorter chunky handle from Rephr. It’s all personal preference, I guess. My Wayne Goss brushes have held up so well over the years. That means a lot. I have quite a few Rephr brushes that I enjoy, as well.
Rephr hair quality is low on the totem pole. Venture more into fude brushes and into the thousands for a set
@@PK-xv1cp i have yes amazing quality , but I can make any brush work 😜
I like WG a lot, but I specifically not buy influencer brands.
There are too many superb brushes to be bothered with is. Launching during Rephyr’s huge sale is just foolish.
I'm curious, do you consider brands like LIsa Eldridge and Danessa Myricks as influencer brands? Lisa Eldridge especially has quite the RUclips platform, and Danessa seems to be taking over Instagram. 😊 I think of all of these people first and foremost as makeup artist who use their experience to help create products, but not really influencers. I do agree that there are a lot of wonderful brush brands. I personally think that the demographic for Rephr and Wayne dont always overlap, so I didn't see a huge issue,--sort of like Chantecaille and Make Up For Ever both launching a lipstick at the same time. Both will probably have great sales from different groups of consumers. I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts here!
Hello @keepbeautyreal1. A lot of the perception is informed by where one lives. Here in the U.S., I think Wayne and Lisa would absolutely be considered influencers first. Natasha D and Charlotte T are available here, but I don’t know anyone who uses their products. Here, they’re just quirky brands that don’t make any news. Again, I enjoy watching Wayne and I don’t doubt the brushes are nice. But increasingly his videos feel like infomercials, which is really a shame.
I truly don’t mean to be critical, in any sense. Beauty, grooming, fragrance- they’re all a fun way to tweak how you present yourself. After all, here I am, an old man, watching your lovely videos. ☮️❤️
@@peterlangendorff9846 I appreciate your perspective!
I mean no shade but they look like a cheaper version of rephr brushes at a higher price.
Oh it’s not shade, just your opinion, and I always appreciate that.
I actually prefer the glossy handles and the curvature of the handles over the straight chunky shorter Rephr handles. I really enjoy the Rephr prototype handles I have that were longer and sleek with the silver ferrule. It really is all a personal preference, though. I do feel like these face brushes are softer than the ones I have
from Rephr. I really enjoy my Rephr eye brushes as well, though!
@@KeepBeautyReal1 Ok. I might have to try one of his face brushes then. Thanks for the reply.
