Sadly, the problem with Rose is that it would have been pretty much impossible for him to stay healthy. It wasn't like he had unfortunate accidents on the court... his body just gave in. His style was too high-impact, and his body mechanics only made the stress worse.

This isn't recent, but as a Mavs fan the biggest what if for me is what if Marc Cuban hadn't split up Dirk and Steve Nash. Nash was still in his prime, and they were forced to split before Dirk had that one legged fadeaway. The duo probably could've attracted other talent to build around them, I'm thinking multiple rings for the big German. Might have even been able to counter-act D Wade going off in '06... maybe. It's hard to make that claim considering what D Wade did but Nash was the reigning MVP that year and would get the award again that year as well. Would've been the best time to have him.

If the three of them had a coach/ownership with a plan and a direction that would be built around players. Also ownership/staff being on the same page and having a work environment that promoted a culture that reflected their employees well being first.
Should’ve done what if Greg Oden stayed healthy, since when he was healthy they won so many more games and if Oden and Roy both stayed healthy they might’ve been able to win a championship
