Great lesson, as always. My electric piano does not have the ability to add a foot pedal but it has a Sustain function. It works well for songs that require it all the time but, if it's a matter of turning it on or off part way through a piece, not quite so smooth! Regardless, your explanations are really appreciated.

I wanted to ask for guidance on the right hand movement from the G chord to the D7 chord. Because the thumb is short, it seems I have to move my whole hand forward in order for the thumb to reach the black F# key. Is this right? Or should my hand always be positioned forward so that I only need to move the thumb during this chord transition? I hope my question makes sense. More generally, I'm wondering how close to the black notes I should position my hands in general. Thank you for the amazing lessons!
Can I ask for some advice? I am a novice and I have a digital standing piano, when I press a key it is in sustain always, (built in pedals) when I press sustain pedal it quietens. Seems the wrong way around to me?

My keyboard adapter got fried and can't get a replacement due to lockdown. So no practice for me until further notice 😢

Hey, I have got an electric piano with no pedals what should I do

That happens with my piano when I turn it on while depressing the pedal. So just keep your feet off and wait for it to turn on. See if that fixes it.
