You have been an amazing help. Thank you!
I've been taught in the past to include reference details on a CV (they would for a standard job application form). If I were to add reference details in, what should I include/leave out or would you just state "References Available on Request" and nothing else?
Thank you so much this is so helpful! I am curious to know your thoughts if whether I should include my experience as a sole trader in my CV that I have been running alongside my Full Time job? Would you include this?
Thank you for this saving video. However, if you are a recent MSc graduate of finance and your most relevant experience is not recent. For example you are a finance specialist and you are applying for finance role but you have a recent customer service facing role of 5yrs. How do you structure such CV?
An interesting lesson.
My question is Why are pictures not allowed on C.Vs and is advisable to put your age and marital status on a C.V?
Thank you so much for this, last time I made a CV was in school.

Could you please tell me whether your cv is ATS and computer friendly or not.
I have over 29 years of work history in learning and development, including eight different roles/organisations, how do I get this across on two or three pages of A4?
You are greatly appreciated 🇵🇬
This video is great - however, it is not a good idea to include the text borders as this will not work well with current ATS systems. i.e. a human being may not see your CV before it enters the NO pile
Please can you do a video on how you can do this CV in Google Docs please.
An Interesting and informative video, thank you. However, nothing is mentioned about the three most common formats: Reverse chronological, Functional and a combination of the two, unless this is covered in a video I haven't watched yet? I keep reading that the Functional format is mainly used when you have gaps in the employment history (and you try disguise them) or when you are trying the change industry. I'd be interested to hear your view on the Functional format; it is in fact the one I opted for, not for the reasons I have listed above, but only for practicality and better use of space (the two pages constraint). I have had about 20 jobs (between permanent and contract roles) spanning across 22 years. Although I understand I don't need to list them all, but say with just 10 of those, a Reverse Chronological format would be unthinkable as the result would be a document much longer that two pages.
My question is: is the Functional format really "disliked" by recruiters? Does it raise suspicions that the job seeker is "hiding" facts? which is not always the case. Many thanks for your time.
Please help me I can't minimizing my CV. I need your help
This is exactly what I wanted. But the only issue is that you didn't show us how we create the CV on MS Word. I'm a beginner and don't know how to use the ms word to create this type of great CV. Could you be kind enough to help us? Thank you.

So as a graphic designer you think I am wasting my time by making my CV stand out? This tends to go against all industry advice from people in the industry who say it's always important show your design skills in your CV. People who hire graphic designers expect to see something different other than a word document. Are you suggesting this is a waste of time and doesn't work. I've been told in the past that my CV was picked because it stands out. I'm wondering what your views are on this?
I was told this by a graphic design employer too. I don’t go for those jobs anymore but have never changed in back and gotten rid of the colour and design elements. I think it could be time to though
Hello, I just finished my CV, I will highly appreciated if you look through my CV and give me some useful advice. Thanks so much !
That's exactly what my CV already looks like!!!
Im annoyed I only found this channel now. Is a cv the same no matter the experience or age? Do you mark cvs, critique cvs..... I was told or found out cant remember now I think it was an agency? told me cvs are electronically read? scanned? Im getting conflicting info, do creative employers look for creative cvs or they will still look for the usual structured cv that looks the same as everyone else..... I found that searching for my first job came about very quickly like a week.... now im abit more mature, more experienced ive tried to do more to my cv and noones biting... I think I know what the problem is though, i'm trying to get someones opinion on a cv that i tailored from examples that were found... now im thinking it was a bad example and maybe want to tone down... if you can reply it would be great
How am I write the cv if I’m applying for different job rather than the one I’m experienced in?
I'm in the same situation :(

can you please tell me about driving licence where to add that information in your CV?
If a driving licence is required for the jobs you are applying for (e.g. taxi driver, field sales) then you should mention it at the top... If it's not relevant to your target jobs, don't include it
@@Standout-cv OK thanks sir 😊
Hi,
I want to ask 2 questions relevant to an Engineering CV. Is it a good idea to add relevant training courses in the Education section? And can a more detailed explanation of relevant skills be added in the Skills section rather than a single word? For example, a short sentence giving a bit more background.
Hi!
U are giving important tips for how to write the CV. Thank you!
My question is about the CV format. What about the Europass CV format? if we combine all the tips you mentioned like "Achievements" and etc with the format of the Europass (I am a UE citizen). Is EUROPASS the best format?
Hi Cosmin, the Europass format is not great - it contradicts a lot of the advice we give here and doesn't make the best use of space on the page
which template is used here?
