I get a lot of questions about my degrees and also what it was like to study at university so I thought I'd make a video about it and share my personal experience, tips and advice along the way :) Xo
Study With Jess i love you ❤️❤️❤️your amazing and inspiring I really love your videos 😍😍😍greetings and love from the Philippines hope you can visit my country someday 😘😘😘😍😍😍
Most definitely a true Jessy cat😻😽 This really helps students like myself,I have also decided to cut down the uni/college presure,by making a one extra study year (and that *hopefully last year of my basic academic studies of economics*will start in October this year) but somehow,I always felt self-un-worth,cause some of the other students are finishing now and applying for master studies, that will start as well from this October. 🙈 so I feel a year away, but once I've heard that my Jess made a similar decision,it will help me to gain confidence and to "attack" my primer goal. 🙏 thank you dear Jess again 💖💕💖 xoxo always from Serbia💋🍀🌈
I think it's really important to point out that clinical psychology isn't the only path -in NZ it's very competitive to get in and everyone wants to do it when they start -there are so many other things you can do with psychology! Whenever new students ask for advice I always suggest they do some psychology along with whatever else they're doing cos understanding how the mind works and how behaviour works is so useful in heaps of fields Great video :)
Thank you, Jess! I'm in my 1st year of college and this motivated and calmed my nerves. I will talk to a career counselor at my college about my interests!
In 15 days I start college and I'll study a degree on Hospitality and Tourism Management and I'm really nervous but excited as well!! Your videos had helped me so much during high school and I'm sure they will help me through college as well!
I would like to see a video on "how to study for long periods of time and stay studying; while having scheduled breaks or just regular breaks in between"
THIS!!!! I went into my last year of High School dead-set on studying Architectural Engineering (a specific subset of Structural Engineering). At the end of my 2nd year, I realized that the program was not something I would be able to keep up with, nor would I have been happy until late in my career, if at all. Now, I'm in an inter-disciplinary major that I LOVE, and am able to combine my two loves (theatre and engineering) in my degree.
Question, Are you going to put your Psychology major into practice? Meaning since you graduated from college and graduate school; are you going to take an exam to see if you qualify to become a psychologist and obtained a certificate, become a student intern and work under a psychologist and after your internship rotations are finished; take the exam where if you passed you get your license to practice psychology. So, are you?!
I just finished my BSc in Psychology and in two weeks I'll start my MSc in the Neuropsychology field, something I didn't even expect on pursuing, because I didn't even knew it existed when first started the degree. So, openminded headset is really fundamental when living, we have no idea of how many pathways they might be!!
This was so helpful and inspirational for me. I'm about to go into my third year of myself Science/Arts double degree and one of my majors is psychology (extended major), this video rekindled my motivation. Thank you
Study With Jess same here!!! I hope I see you😞 I don't think I'm allowed at the meet and greet so maybe I'll catch you walking around? Literally if I meet you, my dreams will be a reality! Love you💞💋😽
Thank you! I wasn't sure if everyone liked these sit down and chat videos but I have been doing a few lately. I will also try to do some of my other styled videos soon too :) xx
Could you do a video on university summary and notes, university studying habits, and other university related topics to help with university education?
Hi Jess :) I've just gotten into uni in HK. I had my first day last Friday. I'm majoring in Marketing, but I'm not really sure what i can do with this degree and whether I really want this degree, cuz I've been interested in entering the education field all my life. A bit of advice would be very much appreciated
I'll be finishing my bachelor in Physical therapy next year and i really want a scholarship in masters for RMIT uni at Melbourne but i really do not know where to start, anyone could help?
I love your chanel! Could you make a video about how you stay so full of energy? I always lack of energy, although I want to do something, but I just can't because of feeling dizzy and no energy. It's really bothers me and I don't know what to do.
I'm so glad you liked this video! I got so many questions about my degree and going to college so I thought I would address them all in this week's video :) Have a great weekend and best of luck with your studies! xx
Do you have any tips on how to get an intenship or volounteer role in a psychology related area when you haven't get any previous experience? Do to my health I've never had a job before and studying became my main priority. I'm finidng it ipossible to even get accepted as a volounter because I don't have references or experience
Hey Jess - this question is more related to uni on a general basis - i am staying and applying to a university in sydney but my friends are all going interstate (melbourne, anu) - i was wondering what are the first few weeks of uni like in terms of meeting people, especially in a bigger degree - do you have any advice for this? thanks xx love your videos!
Hi lovely! Great question! They usually have an orientation day or even a big camp the week before the classes start. My friends who studies law, commerce and med all went to a camp the first week and met lots of friends. I didn't have a camp for psychology students but we did have an orientation day. I actually had so much fun the first day of uni because everyone was in the same boat as me and we all didn't know a lot of people. It can be pretty rare that all of your close school friends choose the same university and degree so we often find ourselves eager to meet people at the start :) xx
Jess ilysm....u are my best RUclipsr....I live in India..in my school there is no career councillor and there are not many good psychology unis..psychology is not a very advanced branch in India..idk what I should do...btw can u tell me about I/O psychology...love u!!!!gbu!!!
I prefer the interactive videos you post; where you would sit and talk about today's topic and the video would show some video overview intakes about the topic. The sit-down chats are okay too but a little interaction wouldn't hurt and the conversion seems a bit long and repetitive (sorry i don't mean to be rude). A little tip; you say "um" too much. Be more interactive in your videos, vlogs, and sit-down or "lets have a chat" videos.
I get a lot of questions about my degrees and also what it was like to study at university so I thought I'd make a video about it and share my personal experience, tips and advice along the way :) Xo
