Godzilla has always been my favorite movie character. The Godzilla series is what made me love movies as a kid. The movies (35 so far) have various interpretations of the character, many of which add more to his character. As someone who loves history, I love the character's inception as a metaphor for the horrors of the atomic bombs and how later movies have used those origins to tackle other issues relating to nuclear science. Mothra vs. Godzilla is about different groups of people uniting against the nuclear threat of Godzilla; Godzilla vs. Hedorah (while a strange movie), is about taking care of pollution; Godzilla (1984) comments on the renewed U.S.-Soviet tensions of the time; Shin Godzilla was a political satire of the Japanese government's reaction to the 2011 nuclear accident and earthquake; the MonsterVerse movies are about nature balancing itself out after humanity's arrogance. Those are just a few examples. I love the Godzilla franchise and the Godzilla character.

I really thought Captain Kirk would be your number one. As a teenager I grew up with Chris pine as my Captain Kirk but since I recently watch the originalmovies im have trouble determining if I like Shatner or Pine more.
Chris is good but I prefer Shatner. Their Kirks do seem like very different characters, tho. But still I prefer Shatner and his version of the character. Shatner’s Kirk, I would not call a womanizer, but Pine’s I would. Shatner’s always had a deep emotional connection to every woman he was with, and we really got to see him be broken over and over again. So I really like that about him. Also that he was kind of a nerd. So he kinda transcends the trope of those types of characters, while Pine’s doesn’t. This makes no sense, sorry. But I did also grow up with Pine’s version.

@@jeremyusreevu237 @Clone Wick As a "favourite movie character" I'd say all of them, because I love how he's been portrayed in so many different ways which all have a unique feel to them; however, my personal favourite Bond actor would have to be Roger Moore. Although he was by far the cheesiest Bond and had some of the weakest movies of the lot, he was the one I watched the most growing up and he really embodied some of my favourite quirks of the character (e.g. the one-liners, the "superstar" tone, the raised eyebrow).

I want to say that Joaquin Phoenix is the best thing ever it is not a dumb generic super villain it is not a villain it is a human being who becomes broken and goes insane rewatch the joker honestly you know it I think that you already know that he is better just watch how they make this character you just don’t want that something beats you’re lovely Heath ledger well he is awesome but get over it Joaquin is better because he is not a supervillain he is a human
@@darthbullymaguire2072 I hate to disappoint you, but I haven't seen Joker yet.

@Richie R It's a metaphor and they use it in the comics too.
My favorites are: Forrest Gump, The Joker, Darth Vader, Gandalf, Alex DeLarge, Ellis Redding and Andy Dufresne.
I think captain America is one of the best due to his character ark and everything that happens to him throughout the first four phases of the MCU (this was before watching the video Idk if he’s in this)
True caps arc is the best one In the mcu he is a really well written character
All until his endgame ending, which I think just went against his entire arc, sorta ruined the entire thing due to fan pressure with that ending
It takes him that many movies to have a alright character ark compared to characters who have better arks in only 2 hours
Captain America isn't even top 100

I have a lot of favorite characters 😅 but at the moment my favorite is Tony stark his character arc was amazing 🥺

Jkjk lol good list
Finally someone put a character from the lotr franchise, I love those movies man
It hurts when nobody is including james bond in the list 😭😭

I’ll make things easy for you: PINE DOESN’T EVEN COMPARE TO WILLIAM SHATNER’S PORTRAYAL OF KIRK
Forrest Gump is one of my favourite movies of all time!!!😃
10. Gil (Owen Wilson) - Midnight in Paris (2011)
9. Rupert Pupkin (Robert De Niro) - The King of Comedy (1982)
8. Francie Nolan (Peggy Ann Garner) - A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (1945)
7. Anna ((Sara Takatsuki) - When Marnie Was There (2014)
6. John Nash (Russell Crowe) - A Beautiful Mind (2001)
5. Atticus Finch (Gregory Peck) - To Kill a Mockingbird (1962)
4. Eva Smith (Sophie Rundle) - An Inspector Calls (2015)
3. John Coffey (Michael Clarke Duncan) - The Green Mile (1999)
2. Inspector Goole (David Thewlis) - An Inspector Calls (2015)
1. 1900 (Tim Roth) - The Legend of 1900 (1998)
I would never have expected an inspector calls to be on one of these lists
@@donaldtusk2678 you probably wouldn't have expected A Tree Grows in Brooklyn either if you've heard of that. Though I follow this channel quite a bit, I'm not a mainstream movie watcher. I'm a huge fan of the golden age and more poetic and analytical types of films.

Which one?
Wich one ,my favorite is Craig even if not all of his movies are great
@@jeremyusreevu237 @Clone Wick
As a "favourite movie character" I'd say all of them, because I love how he's been portrayed in so many different ways which all have a unique feel to them; however, my personal favourite Bond actor would have to be Roger Moore.
Although he was by far the cheesiest Bond and had some of the weakest movies of the lot, he was the one I watched the most growing up and he really embodied some of my favourite quirks of the character (e.g. the one-liners, the "superstar" tone, the raised eyebrow).

3. Captain America (MCU)
My favorite has and will always be Michael Corleone. Can't see anyone topping him. Amazingly written character with so much depth and tragedy to his character that his ending (despite the controvertial quality of The Godfather Part 3) is crushing and powerful nonetheless.
