Its seas & its widely famous 2 Pitons which to me resemble the two eyes gorged out from Saint Lucia. Why wud one eye look more pointed than the other is something I cant think of. I LOATHE THE ST. LUCIA FLAG!! I feel it is terribly distasteful, elementary and similar to the Jamaican flag. We can do much better, and should change it immediately! In my opinion the CODE of ARMS is most appropriate for the image of the flag and nothing less. It is indeed a beautiful land I hope the people do not destroy it.
I am not from Saint Lucia but I do think that is a very strong statement to make for a flag as delicate and simple as St. Lucia's. Why would any one destroy a place like that where a billion tourists attend many events through out the year? It is a billion tourists per year for such a small Island!! Loathe is a strong emotion.
Our Island has a rich history, often taken for granted by locals. Although I do not presently reside there, I am always searching for better ways to positively set us apart from the other carribbean islands. Refine our reputation to the world. The current flag is too similiar to Jamaica's colors and simplicity. It is UGLY compared to its coat of arms. We are very different from Jamaica in so many ways!! Id like to see this reflected in the image. A beautiful island should have a beautiful flag.
