I usually get aggravated by abduction plot lines but this one was so gentle and met me at eyelevel that it honestly wasn’t bad at all ! We need more stories where the abductee isn’t treated like a lab animal.
I think it helps that the POV character isn't depicted as being afraid. Normally the viewer is told to quiet down and not panic. This time the narration makes it clear the viewer character is rolling with the punches and even sasses his "captor" at points. So by treating the listener as if they're relaxed, the listener tends to feel more relaxed.
So, this has made it's way onto my "favourite ASMR" playlist really quickly. It's honestly right up there with some of the best I've ever heard. Thank you!
It says much about your skill as a speaker and storyteller, that I was able to fully focus on and engage with this audio while also working on a leatherworking project. In fact, it felt much more like experiencing the research on the alien ship, while also *thinking* about doing the project, rather than the reverse. Excellent job with creating an experience we can lose ourselves in. On a professional/technical note: what was the source for the background noise...that sort of pulsing, humming ambience that was playing the whole time?

@@WorldofCadence The two main things I got done yesterday were a pair of glass bottles sleeved in leather, with long carrying straps and a moderately intricate decorative emblem on the sides, built up of multiple layers of leather.
