Pastor Kelly, You will not know, until heaven, how many lives have been blessed and changed because you made a choice years ago to dedicate your life to God and dare to be a 'True Man.' It is obvious you are a man of integrity, honor, truth and courage. Please know that even in your absence the last months of 2024, through the Holy Spirit, your empowered words continue to sow seed and grow a harvest. As in Elijah's day, the rain is falling. I know--it is falling on me. Glory and praise to God.
Such a timely message. I thought present truth was no longer "present"?! Thank God for faithful servants, for men like you who will not be bought or sold, men who in their inmost souls are true and honest, men who do not fear to call sin by its right name. Men who's conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole. Men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall. We are praying for you and your family Pastor Kelly! May you stay strong in the Lord! Thank you for sharing present truth in grace, love, honesty and integrity.
This quote is in EGWites writings and my brother read It at my dad's resting service. I could see from back to his childhood stories through his WWII stories his education after that at Southern Missionary College , his career, our childhood. How he parented me his daughter, caring for their parents till the passed. He staying so close to his my girls.. He strove to be a Godly man at the end of everyday , as his conscience was pricked at nightly bible reading and prayer he would ask forgiveness. In business he was honest. God blessed him mightily. This quote was fitting to my earthly father and his Heavenly Father. I say this message hit me between the eyes. I need some Holy Spirit work in me. My daughters have strayed. It is me oh Lord standing in the need of prayer. Me.
God bless you for standing for truth. Its hard I know ,there are very few preachers today that are speaking truth. Those people and the people who attacked you need to change there course or they wont be saved. that's Biblically.
Yes you are right.... very right... sometimes when a person is so right... they can be the most wrong. Selah Why do you deliver this message in this tone....? Truth can be delivered with anger, condemnation, and bitterness... with very little resulting change or Truth can be delivered with love, compassion, and hope, resulting in awakened desire and many who are moved by faith to grasp hold and change! Can you.... have you learned.... to deliver this Truth in real love... have you ever seen the results of Truth delivered in the right spirit... it is phenomenally awesome!!! To experience the Holy Spirit work, when apples of gold are set in pictures of silver, causes me, others, sinners, to say Yes! Yes! Yes! I want this.... When the Truth is delivered in the blazing light of the cross (which we really do not know how to do) and we are lifting up the Messiah and Him Crucified, He will draw all men to Himself, He will convict in Love! We will be drawn together... we will know how close and intimately entwined our Messiah is to us personally and as a people, there will be a revival and a reformation that will blow open the Glory, and Grace, and Righteousness of our Savior, to a starving world! Bro. Freeman, This kind of response to the very message we need to hear only enables the behavior that is being addressed. Lack of integrity must always be challenged, first, one on one, and if not acknowledged and corrected then the other steps of Matthew 18 should be followed. It is never proper to ignore a supposed wrongdoer, write about a him in a negative light, talk about him behind his back, etc. That's cowardly. Face the person in civil discourse. After all, we are brethren. Preaching a sermon that is exhortatory in nature can sometimes seem to be unloving. Sure, unloving according to the revised definition of loving. And all the so-called negative attributes of the speaker, where exactly are they? I didn't hear them nor see them. As for me, I thank Pastor Kelly for addressing this issue of integrity for that's what it is, and at times it's quite lacking and is overlooked under the excuse of love. I too, had to memorize that quotation and have tried to live up to its lofty ideals. Can't say I always succeeded, so I appreciate being reminded of the challenge from time to time, though rather infrequently. That ideal will never become out of date! Father, help your people to love truth and integrity, for Christ Jesus sake. Amen
I suspect you have never had to deliver a message of such seriousness yourself in a public setting such as this one. Why is it that we always have to worry about the spirit in which something is delivered in, rather than say to ourselves, even if the spirit is wrong…..is the message true and should I listen to it or even better yet? Is it biblical, is God speaking to me right now And if I am offended, is it mainly because I don’t like the way in which it is delivered or am I offended because I don’t like what’s being said. Even though someone may say something that is highly offensive in the way that they say it, if it is truth, then it is truth, and the last thing we should complain or comment on, is how it is delivered, but rather thank them for saying what is true… Thank you brother, keep it up Gods blessings
