- Dallas Jenkins, creator of wildly popular series "The Chosen," explains why he is not surprised at the success of the hit Bible-based show, revealing the powerful reason he's not shocked. He also opened up about how he works to prepare and protect himself spiritually, as well as work hard to ensure the script is true to Scripture.
The first two episodes of season three of "The Chosen" debuted over the weekend at No. 3 in the U.S. box office. The reception has been so strong, the theatrical release has been extended through Dec. 1. For tickets and more information about the show, visit thechosen.tv.

@@linwoodkent1246 no my friend, when God tasks a person, that person gets to witness miracles, things fall in place so they can complete that task. Noah could never have built an ark on his own strength I am sure he saw God's hand in it all.
Dallas has achieved the seemingly impossible with the chosen, and his experiences would be similar to Noah's.
Compare this show to scripture.
I do, and get so much comfort from seeing the diligence that Dallas and the others have given to ensure that what comes from scripture is put into a context that is possible, maybe even probably but I’ve not found anything that causes me concern. But I will continue to cross check the Chosen against my Bible.😊
It is unfortunate that "The Chosen" isn't Biblical. It would have been nice if it kept within Scripture while in taking its artistic licenses. There are some moments that are great but that doesn't excuse the fact that it isn't Scriptural.

@@susannaholdfield7499 Please read all four gospels while comparing it to "The Chosen". The events that take place aren't in sequence or how they come about nor the things that are said. The things that are said from Scripture isn't word for word in "The Chosen". It is only cherry picked here and there. "The Gospel of John" 2003 movie is more Scriptural than "The Chosen" as it is word for word from the NIV.
"Gospel of Matthew" "Gospel of Mark" Gospel of Luke" & "Gospel of John" movies that were made after 2003 that is word for word of the NKJ including the events.

2Ti 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Also the fact that "The Chosen" shows a flawed Jesus where Jesus was, is and never will be flawed otherwise He wouldn't be God and if He isn't God then He wouldn't be the perfect sacrifice. Our faith would be meaningless as it would mean that He is just another flawed human being like the rest of us, but He wasn't and isn't which is why His life, death and resurrection is so meaningful. Not to also mention that everything Jesus ever did and said fulfilled the Scriptures about Him.

Heb 10:11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

Dallas has said as much that "The Chosen" isn't to be Biblical but just influenced by it. So he takes several more liberties in creating the show. Dallas's main influence in the show is that of Mormonism which the Book of Mormon isn't Biblical either as Mormons see that the book supersedes the Scriptures.
Dallas believes they are one of the same with the rest of Christianity, but the Scriptures say different. Dallas also has advisors of a Jew, Catholic and Muslim which also further the fact he believes in coexistence which also influences its production.
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Joh 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Which all explains as to why "The Chosen" isn't Biblical and why it is presented in the fashion that it is. Please compare it to the Scriptures and see for yourself.

Why are christians so elated with the success of Chosen? I saw it and, well, its ok but we should be very cautious and discerning when the World loves what Christians do. Didn't the Lord warn us about getting accolades from the world? I think it has more to do with believers leaving the 'sharing' of the gospel to 'professionals' so we can say to the Lord when we see Him, "I didn't really say or witness much to my family and friends about the gospel BUT, I took them to a movie about the gospel. Is that enough Lord?"
