Oh man!! I was shattered I missed out on one of these. He-man is my fav hero of all time. I love everything about MOTU. While this statue may not be perfect, I still love it. It’s beautiful.

This is where my heart is in statues. MOTU ones are great. Daughter and I just got the Sideshow Evil Lyn today to round out our sideshow MOTU. Paired her w the Hordack, Heman, Skeletor and She-ra. Waiting on Teela and Merman. But now want something more cartoon true vs real take statue. The custom Greyskull....dear lord. The custom Greyskull. Exceptional!

That battle cat looks great. I'm ok with seam lines if I don't see them from a normal distance. Up close you can see things you don't like in almost every statue.

Mr. X, Question for you and possible video topic. How much are you concerned about market volatility when it comes to your collection? I know you mentioned that your equity is in your statues. Do you keep track of fluctuations in demand? Do you fear the bottom dropping out and barely getting a fraction of what you spent on the originally? I know a lot of value in collections like Beanie Babies, Baseball Cards, etc. (not saying statues are equivalent) dried up suddenly and left a lot of people wondering where did the market go. Just curious on your thoughts.
I’m actually not overly concerned. For the simple reason if we have a huge economic downturn, the difference between this and past ones is that there will be a large amount of people that are still pretty secure (I think middle class will be the big hit) so there will still be a market to sell these... might be a slight loss, but I don’t think significant. And if it is.. I just hold onto them for a few more years.

Awesome piece, lately I've been cleaning my original vintage MOTU figures for a display, so seeing this is a great surprise, I like better the option where he's lifting the power sword and for the shape an size of the other sword looks like the one that came with the vintage mattel figures... at least for me.

This piece is a true beauty. Congrats on obtaining this Mr X. Kinda wishing I had gotten this to go with the custom Skeletor that I have coming. I'm pumped for that one. The wait game however is killing me.

I remember watching this cartoon series as a kid and loved it. I still have some He Man action figures. I used to have castle gray skull but that got busted to crap and got thrown out. I used to abuse the hell out of all of my action figures back then. This statue is cool just for the nostalgia effect.

Wow Mr. X, that an awesome statue especially watching a small clip at 5:45 of HE-MAN made my childhood self get a flashback of good memories growing in the early and mid 80's of the show.
The rasing the sword is how i'd pose him but too bad no screaming portrait to that pose.
Battle Cat's teeth are way too clean the paint job on it should've been dirty with some yellow like what other animals have when their teeth aren't brushed thoroughly or not at all.
Both bases and the extra torso bust stand is nice but over all the paint on both HE-MAN and Battle Cat looks cool the entire statue is really nice cool. Nice review. Best HE-MAN and Battle Cat statues there is and FUNIMATION accurate.

I was really into He-Man. Loved the carton, I had a record with some of his adventures. My first figure was Trapjaw. Dig this statue but the bad guys always seem to look cooler.

The raised sword sculpt only having one head is definitely a huge missed opportunity. Maybe someone can make a "custom" head swap for this custom 😆😂🤣 Great video

From far back with the second swap looks dope 🔥 but when you get up close you can see a lot of flaws more like they got lazy .

This thing looks like one of the old figures came to life to me.
Much prefer the sword raised torso.
Think it's a shame about the seam lines and plastic sword. But for me, it definitely does not ruin the statue. Since it is a take on a Cartoon character, it does not need that much micro-detail, the teeth and even the exaggerated muscles are fine for the subject. I think the base and it's color are definitely a representation of Castle Grayskull. And of course Battle Cat looks awesome! I wish there was a switch out for his unmasked head! I think any MOTU fan would really like this. Cool review as always. GOD Bless You and the X-Fam!
I would pair this BattleCat with SSC's 1/5 He-Man version which is probably close enough.

Man. I’m too old to relate to 90s cartoons. I grew up in the 60s and 70s. My childhood cartoons were Kimba the White Lion, Astro Boy, Looney Tunes, Fat Albert, Rocky and Bullwinkle, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Ultraman, Gigantor, The Banana Splits, Hanna Barbera cartoons, John Quest, stuff like that. You guys missed the Golden Age of Saturday Morning Cartoon Shows. That’s when there were like only 12 channels, lol.
these models was available on a 3d printing group £40 for Battle cat and £25 for he-man a good few years ago, Mohamad the guy behind mfa collectibles messaged me asking where i got battle cat from, i told him the 3d printing group and next thing i know he bought the rights off the 3d artist ( Dev ) to battle cat and he-man. lucky for the people who already own the files we can still make them and sell them, Mohamad wanted me to 3d print them then cast them in resin and ship them to Dubai where he would use them as master moulds and offered me £200 i said no and looks like he found someone else to make them.
Battle Cat is amazing. I personally liked the Sideshow He-Man and it’s realistic take better. But glad you were able to add this to your collection.

Battlecat looks awesome He man is ok overall I like I think I had every figure growing up I wish I didn’t give them away I would definitely like to have this in my collection
This piece is pretty cool, I like the raised sword version most and Battlecat is pretty impressive, I also like the base. Apart from the lack of screaming portrait and 'gaping' seams my main gripe is the size, way too big. I would have this in 1/6th scale!
