make sure to exclude cs2 from pro balance and make cpu sets (think of it as a rule) all cores. you are going to want to make system process winnit.exe high priority and do the same with the cpu sets , exclude the process from pro balance. make sure your browser and any other non-system process is on idle priority.

Gradually decrease the values to identify the point at which the shadows start disappearing or it might be an issue with the aspect ratio and resolution. Check that you are maintaining the correct aspect ratio and resolution when adjusting the lb_shadow_texture_width and lb_shadow_texture_height.
