'It's awesome.' Parody Detroit-style signs begin showing up across metro Detroit

  • The jokes keep rolling on about Detroit's new welcome sign, and now, average citizens in over a dozen communities across metro Detroit have taken it upon themselves to spend little to no money creating spoofs of the sign. I hit the streets in many of these cities to uncover how these homemade signs became social media sensations that have brightened the days of many people.

    They’re having fun because the Detroit sign is ridiculous. People have to laugh at the ridiculous decisions people in leadership make, otherwise we’ll cry. That Detroit sign was and is ridiculous! Aren’t there homeless or struggling people in Detroit ? And here they are, spending all that money for some stupid draft 🙄🤦‍♀️

      I stay in Detroit and I agree with his statement they could have used that sign money on something worthwhile like the homeless ​@@DetroitMadeMan

      @@nicolejonson3133 They are currently building at least three new homeless shelters in Detroit. Plus tearing down a lot of the vacant deteriorating housing. Let Detroit live and have something nice. The sign is to welcome visitors.
