you just must leave phone conected and screen on and start record on insta app.I use second phone for that to get telemetry.Gopros has gps build in so no hassle with them.You can put telemetry when ever you want

I'm buying the x4 and all the videos I watched said that u need a watch to be able to use gps stats. If I don't then that's great save me some money
