Were your parents in America already?
-Yes, both of my parents have been in America for 32+ years and have never left the country since.
Did you parents have to go out of the country during this process?
-No, both of my parents did not have to go out of the country during this process.
How much did it cost total?
-For both of my parents the total cost was around $15,000.
How much did your lawyer’s services cost?
-Around $4,500 per person.
How much did the forms/applications cost?
-Around $2,500 per person.
How much do medical exams cost?
-Depending in which clinic you choose it can be anywhere between $320-$800 per person.
How long did your process take?
-Our process took one year.
🚨HELPFUL TIPS
-SAVE, SAVE, SAVE money. The process will go much smoother if you have the money saved up. Many people’s journey’s take a long time because they cannot afford to pay either the lawyer’s services or their application “packet” at the same time or when the time comes around to pay these off. This usually slows down the process as people need to come up with the money and then pay off as much as they can. This is a norm in most cases, and process can begin with a certain amount of money, but the process will go slower. Being able to have the money saved up will definitely speed up the process. With this being said, I would make sure to save money in this order: 1) Application “packet” cost, 2) Down payment for law services, 3) Medical exams, 4) Remaining balance of law services.
-Do not voluntarily travel out of the country if you are undocumented or without consulting with an immigration lawyer first.
-Do not involve yourself in "red flag” situations if you are undocumented such as: having DUI’s, any other major tickets, going to prison, drug trafficking, etc.
-Make sure to retrieve all original basic important documents such as birth certificates, and proof of living in the country (literally as much as you can, this can include: utility bills, rent receipts, or letter etc.)
-As a petitioner make sure to have steady employment for at least two years and make at least $21,000-$25,000 per year.
-Have a good health or already have a treatment in place for any condition to be able to pass medical exams.

Good Information I just have 1 question I understand how everything went smooth but how did they end up getting the work permit and ss first I thought you got that after the interview after everything goes thru. What would happen if they got denied whats the point of them handing ss and work permits.
