Biographie : Keane
1975 : Richard Hughes est né le 8 septembre à Hasting, en Angleterre.
1976 : Tim Rice-Oxley est né le 2 juin à Oxford.
1979 : Tom Chaplin est né le 8 mars Gravesend dans le Kent.
1997 : Formation du groupe Keane autour de Richard Hughes (batteur), Tim Rice-Oxley (clavier, bassiste, chœur) et Tom Chaplin (chant) et Dominic Scott (guitare).
2001 : Le guitariste Dominic Scott quitte le groupe en juillet.
2002 : Ils donnent un concert au Betsey Trotwood. Simon Williams, un responsable du label Fierce Panda y assiste et propose au groupe de sortir un single sous son label : « Everybody’s changing ».
Steve Lamacq passe le single dans son show sur BBC Radio 1 et décide de les inviter à faire une session dans BBC 6Music. Keane fait sa première tournée au Royaume-Uni.
2003 : Ils signent avec Island, un label de la major Universal.
2004 : Sortie de leur premier album « Hopes and Fears ». Trois mois après sa sortie, l’album « Hopes and fears » est disque d’or.
2005 : Ils sont élus « Révélation britannique » et « Meilleur album britannique » aux Brit Awards 2005.
Sortie le 22 novembre du DVD « Strangers ».
2006 : Le12 juin 2006, le deuxième album de Keane « Under the iron sea ».
2008 : En novembre, ils sortent l’album « Perfect Symetry ».
En septembre, ils sortent le DVD « Keane Curates A Night For Warchild ».

@@BBB-hr9jedefinitely! And it’s known that Tom was kinda pushed a bit to his limits in this album 🤔 which is why I think the songs from this album are in general not played so much. Which is sad because I love this album so much ❤

@@AgosArg oh absolutely i feel like, well all the albums reflect each member of keane and their life experiences, but perfect symmetry had quite high expectations after the success of HaF and the band were in quite a sureal experience of the fame side and the opposite on the darker side. As always though, the songs are incredible throughtout all the albums
