Minecraft has been around for a while. As the game has grown, it has also split into two different versions; Java and Bedrock. Throughout all the time that these two versions have coexisted, we've been told for most of it that there is no and will never be cross-platform support between the two. Then Geyser popped up and proved that notion wrong. At the same time, there is always a new advancement made by the Minecraft community.
This video brings a few of the Minecraft community's amazing works together to make the process of setting up cross-platform Java and Bedrock gameplay easier than it has ever been before.

For those having trouble with Public GC for consoles, here is an alternative solution. I haven’t tested it myself, but it should be pretty simple.

@@H.-.......-1b I never ran into much issue with this in my testing, but I have heard of this issue from other people using Playit.
I wouldn’t be able to help much, however, I would recommend going to the Playit Discord server (there’s a link on their website) and asking around there.

should we change the bedrock port in the config.yml after creating a bedrock tunnel in playit?
because i still can't connect my mcpe to the server even though i already make a tunnel for the bedrock one.
When you create the bedrock tunnel in playit, it automatically uses your local port 19132 because that is the default for bedrock edition. The port for your friends is autogenerated and still leads to 19132 locally.
It shouldn’t make much difference, but if you do, you’ll have to adjust the local port in your playit tunnel as well.
I’d assume you’re getting the “unable to connect to world” error, which there are many causes.

op it shows me finnaly at least the ping and the server description but when i try to connect it says unable to connect to world i have the newest bedrock version and the server is spigot 1.20.2 i can join with java just fine
A lot of people get this error. There are many causes, so what I will do is give you a link to the geyser wiki which might help you troubleshoot. Hope this helps!

Can we add resources packs or different plug-ins ? Also can java or bedrock players use either ?
I’ve looked for a way to use a Java resource pack in Bedrock and there are some conversion tools out there, but how well they work is probably dependent on how complex the pack is in certain ways. Like if it relies on Optifine or something else Java-exclusive.
Plugins may or may not work depending on what the plugin changes. It really depends on what the plugin does.

Hey I’ve been getting this error recently saying “The process cannot access the file because another process has locked a portion of the file” when i start my server, which the file is latest.log and it’s because java is using the file so the server can’t and idk how to fix it
I just did a quick google search on the issue you’re describing and the results say to try using task manager to manually end the Java task/process.
Use CTR + SHIFT + ESC to open task manager and look for that Java process.

@@mkordik1 thank you for responding but i actually did that and the java program was running java edition minecraft so in order to end the task it would have to shut down minecraft, i guess I’ll just use bedrock edition which is fine

Fork launcher is crashing as soon as I click on create server what to do?
That’s odd. I never experienced that issue myself. Maybe try reinstalling Fork? If not, I’d recommend joining their discord and asking around. Good luck :)

Do you mean that the port playit gives you is 4 digits? I don’t think that would be a problem, but I could be wrong. If you’re unable to connect from bedrock edition, I would first check to make sure you can connect from Java. From there, make sure your playit tunnels are set up correctly. Looking at the GeyserMC wiki might also be useful as they have a page for playit.gg.

I’ve noticed the same thing. Try using the bedrock connect app on your phone. You would enter the IP in the app, then it would show up in your friends tab on console.

Is it work with playit plugin?
Unfortunately the playit plugin only supports 1 tunnel. Java and Bedrock must be on 2 different ports which means you need 2 tunnels. This is why you need to use the playit program.

It’s only running as long as your computer is running the program. If you leave your computer on, you could maybe. If your computer turns off, the server turns off.
Fabric work?
As of right now, Geyser doesn’t offer a fabric version unfortunately. I also think that wouldn’t be easy for them because Bedrock doesn’t have mods like Java.

All of the programs I used in this video are 100% safe.

@@krideri2 I just checked it myself and I can search them up fine, but they are not showing in the friends tab. Their proxy could possibly be down right at this moment. Don’t take my word for it though. If you want to know for sure, go to the geyserconnect website in the description and maybe try joining their Discord server. They will be able to provide better support than me.

It will only stay online as long as your computer is running.
Work ON MacBook Pro?
Unfortunately, Fork doesn’t support Mac as of right now. You could still get a server like this running on Mac, but you’d have to manage it without Fork’s GUI. This means a lot more editing text files and organizing files.

@@GamingZoneSahiwal If I had a Mac, I would likely make a video on that, but I don’t at this point in time. Also, if I did that, it wouldn’t be as user friendly since, as I said, Fork doesn’t support MacOS. If you are familiar with file systems and editing text files, you could figure it out.

This seems to be the best up to date video I can find for Mac. This only shows how to setup a Java server though. However setting up Playit and GeyserMC should be relatively similar to Windows.
how ot add more ram
To add more RAM, go to the settings, server.properties, scroll to the bottom, then change the value for "Max Ram".
I also made and posted a visual for you in case you have trouble finding it. You can find it under the "Community" tab on my channel.
