- Welcome to Western Australia. This is a short series based on a large scale grain farm where I am testing my knowledge and the limitations of courseplay, autodrive and other mods to try and run a largely automated harvesting operation.
In this first episode I show off the equipment we are running and get our first field started with combines and grain carts using courseplay and trucks following an Autodrive course.
Western Australia 16x is based on the original 4x version of the map, all be it on a rather large scale! A Beta release, there are still some bugs and to some extent the map is not complete - no individual fields, no contracts and not seasons compatible.Download the latest version here:

Watching someone new to courseplay and autodrive who has clearly taken the time offscreen to learn the basics is a huge plus! Too many people sit there onscreen bumbling their way around for 30 minutes learning and wasting the viewers time. Good video and looking forward to more.

16x map, CoursePlay and Autodrive-such a HUGE undertaking. I see a lot of RUclipsrs struggle with such things, but you have done your homework and it shows. I want to learn how to do exactly this, so I look forward to the rest of this series!
Thanks Scott, big learning curve for me as well trying to apply the small parts I know and scale up. There is still a bit of cursing in the background, and this might have been my 3rd attempt, but some trial and error and I'm happy with progress!

This map has so much potential. I really hope Kamil keeps doing updates on it. The only way I can keep up with anything on this map is by running CP and 4x everything. Monster of a map and I love it.

Look forward to your adventures on this Mahusive Map. Love seeing the Aussie Made Coolamon Bins and MidWest Headers used on an Aussie Map. A trick I learned with AD is the Markers have to be past the Fill/Load triggers so they don't stop early, as you found. I look forward to seeing the dance of CP & AD on these huge fields. Great video.

Thanks mate, it's actually pretty simple as a concept and can be as complex as you want it to be. This map is quite simple with only the one spot with 3 still points. Will show that off next time

This is why I don't use articulated tractors with courseplay. They can't stop correcting left and right. I use challengers instead. It's nice to see someone playing this map solo ! I love it but sometimes I don't want to spend hours to fine tune automation :'D

Great example of how to use Courseplay and autodrive together. You might find it easier to set the dot position above ground level that way you can edit the individual point even if its under the vehicle

@@ArgsyGaming Haha me too. I'm not even a farmer. I would love to work on a farm running equipment and whatnot but there's not much in that way around me, it's mostly livestock farms and they're pretty small.

Fantastic. Good on you mate. I enjoyed your initial video so much that I subscribed. I took note of which mods you would have used. The Road Train eludes me though. I normally do everything myself. No helpers, workers, Course play or Autodrive. The only one was "Follow me" However, on this Map, I believe one needs all the assistance one can get. looking forward to future developments and what you do on Argsy Gaming. Good luck mate.

I've seen you game with FSG and got a little curious about what you gamer in FS19. And I have to admit that you are pretty good at telling and showing. I myself am quite new to the use of CP which is because I have a hard time figuring out how to set CP so it can be used as at a fairly late age I got a brain injury on my last envoy as a soldier in Afghanistan in 2007.So i'm quietly figuring out how it works by watching a lot of youtube videos about FS19 and you just added another element in using multiple machines in CP at the same time to my game and it's really nice.
So I would like to thank you nicely for that and will follow your game in the future.

Thanks for the message Kim, I'm pleased that my videos are helping you figure things out, and glad to hear they are easy to follow. Once you get the hang of courseplay you won't be able to play without it!
where your autodrive course comes from the street and meets up with the field entry, if you record 3-4 intermediate waypoints that form a nice curve onto the field entry, then your drivers will stop crawling around that corner.

When using couse play on this map you will need to redefine the feilds usig in game map editor. It ignors some edges and the ,power poles in some of the feilds. Apart from that its a fun challenging map to farm all of it . Good luck to you.
thanks for the tip! The field I've started in seems ok, but having a few issues with the one on the other side, so might have to try and redefine the fields :) I think the size of fields is stretching CP to the max, particularly the pathfinding for the wagons!
@@ArgsyGaming best to edit the corners and reshape the feilds. especially when you wanna use multiple tools or big tools. No matter how you do it couse play will take avwhile to generate. I think the longest was 10 min. This was my map of choise when i was gonna play for awhile. I loved sinking hours into it.

Yeah, takes a while to calculate the course, and then when sending the combines or tractors off it takes a few seconds to process as well

very cool video, actually learning courseplay, personally I would have gone for Fendt 1050's or Claas Xerion's just to avoid the steer wiggle

I like your work on that map. it is excellent. but try to correct the fields as I said in the other comment. so that the courseplay recognizes everyone without any problems. I hope we can continue the dialogue. I intend to do a series of timelapse on this map. I already made a video preparing the solo and it worked very well with other implements. and forget the articulated tractors. Cya
Thanks, I've tried with the 9RT instead of the 9RX and seemed to work much better, might look at some other options as well.
@@ArgsyGaming I noticed that the tractor is going left and right all the time as if it were in trouble. the problem is not on the tractor. it's something in courseplay or autodrive. but I still don't know how to fix it.

Not sure if you're trying to be authentic or not but you should check out the Bec's mod of the ideal harvester that holds 6.5 million liters and the 100 meter header

Courseplay has issues with most articulated tractors. The only one that reliably works is the Case Quadtrack.

normally about 50-60fps, drops a bit on this map, but more around the main farm with lots of equipment around it. I have an HP Omen laptop with RTX2080 and i7 processor
How did u go running 2 trucks to unload on auto play? Did they crash into each other rubbing the same line?
I've used a one way course in a big loop which means the trucks should never collide

First off love the series second off I know this is semi old but best place to ask. But how do you get the road trains to fill up all trailers with Audi drive and not just the first one and take off?
Thanks, from memory there is a setting in auto drive to tell vehicles not to drive off until 100% full. And I had to make sure that the waypoint was far enough past the fill trigger that all the trailers were able to get under the trigger before the truck reached the waypoint, and, there is another setting for distance from the waypoint to the trigger that I had to increase to 100m. Hope that helps :)

Really enjoy this vid fella. Just out of interest you have bushels instead of Litre's is that a mod or something you've done in the files etc?
It is a mod called Unit Converter Lite. I will have a link for it in the next video with all the mods I've used in this series
I played on a couple aussie maps on console on fs17 and one or 2 on fs19 which I play on xbox1
The Ninghan Farms map which is on console is pretty cool, I've played a bit of that one :)

I don't think that you can harvest that 80-100 acres field without courseplay or helpers.
Just curious why is your tractor driving across your feild in the crops?
I think it is due to the size of the fields and courseplay struggling to correctly plot a route to the combines while avoiding the crops. If it takes to long to try and plan a route it defaults to straight lining.

what trailers are you using for the road trains?
I have three different types - The Lizard Bottom dump by Mantrid and the West Trailers by Karl Farms which are both on Modhub, and then the Lusty tippers which I got from a Facebook page

Something that always annoyed me is that Farming Simulator has lots of machines that are just way too big for the small European style farms. This map changes that, but now the trailers are too small. I guess some other stuff will also be too small, such as the ploughs.
Thanks Chris, certainly does change that! Haven't run in to anything yet that feels too small, just takes some time to get jobs done!

you must first correct the edges of each field. because they are very big and the courseplay has problems with these huge areas. and this version of the courseplay you are using also has some problems. I made it work. but several errors happen because the fields are not divided. and you need to remove the power towers from the fields. with other implements it works well. but with harvesters we have problems. I use an older version of courseplay that works very well on other maps. but in the western it does not work as well because its fields are gigantic and are not divided as in the original.
Thanks Frostt, by correct edges, do you mean to redefine the field edge using courseplay, rather than relying on the scanned field edge? If it needs to be done in Giants Editor or something like that then thats way above my skill level! Or are you driving the perimeter of the fields and recording a course as the field edge?

Yeah, is a shame not to see it fully finished. Great to hear it is authentic to the region though, hope my interpretation is doing it justice 😀
@@ArgsyGaming doing a great job mate, keep it up. All your courseplay stuff is interesting and educational. Keep everything BIG and it's typical enough. Not much AGCO gear around here though. I know of one ideal 9 in my district. Bourgault is a big player with a factory in Perth.
