Do we really need your comment? Do we really need RUclips? Do we really need the internet? Do we really need communication? Do we really need culture? Do we really need civilization?
@@vernissagetv Hm thanks for the perspective. Let me put my question in a slightly more elaborate and a somewhat different manner-what is the need of Art in the face of the development of Natural Sciences? Also, why look for contemplation in an Art object rather than contemplate on the wonderful complexity that nature gives us readily? Isn't the kind of Art displayed above just a narrow chatter between people-a chatter without contemplation, without development of the mind, without any growth?
@@vinayseth1114 Hm, I guess I know what you mean, and I think the answer is quite complex. One could say that we need art obviously because otherwise no one would create or view art. I know that's too simple, but on the other hand, I hesitate to attribute a function to art. Via Google I've found a page with “Five Reasons Why We Need Art”: “art is a natural human behavior; art is communication; art is healing; art tells our story; art is a shared experience.” The last reason is in times of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter etc. perhaps the most obvious currently. ;-)
I love the talking head! Please post more videos with just talking heads, preferably uninterrupted by boring art. Who cares about the artwork, what I really want to see is more talking heads. On art videos.

This makes me beg the question: Do we really need Art?
