The color palatte + color harmony + the nostalgic sound(similar to white noise) of Warcraft III era is so calming while doing something else. Something different for once from devs trying to glue average people's shortening attention span.
So the arrows get stuck in bodies which i appreciate, bodies flop on the ground and don't just dissapear, the tower mechanics, the cannons which have rewarding splash damage, devs said they plan on making more factions and you flooding the White's base with a green tide of orcs at the end does make me interested in this game I'm not a fan of games like these, but i might try this one. (in before i get absolutely destroyed in multiplayer haha)
Hello! Thank you kindly for sharing your thoughts and impressions of this game with us all in the comments. I am glad you think so and will give it a chance during the demo! Enjoy!
The game feels pretty fluid in the early game where skirmishes occur, but in a late game with large armies, I think it would be necessary to organize troops in a total war style, forming in lines and commanding on solid unit cards instead of blobs of units linked by some button. I'll try the demo, I appreciate the effort of indie devs.
Hi and thx for sharing your thoughts and impressions. I agree! I was really struggling when my army almost overgrew the amount of control groups I had. On the bight side, NO UNIT LIMIT FTW!
Something I think would be neat is if unit training buildings in these RTS games, had the feature where you could set the unit waypoint as a attack move. Better yet let it have a slider bar or something where the barracks / vehicle factory will train x units that hang outside the building before sending the attack move to where ever you set the waypoint (aka enemy base or area you want to probe) Just some ideas to help with micro when battles get on a larger scale
Hi and thx for your ideas. This is something you have in Beyond All Reason. And all games should incorporate such functions. Do share your ideas with the developers on Discord or Steam.
I feel like I'm forgetting something an RTS I'v been looking forward to? Storm something and another one. Also the other one's selling point was reducing the APM ceiling by having minimal resource gathering APM.
@@NikuaRanger Well, units that level up. Buildings which can be occupied. Constructing new buildings to unlock more advanced units. Barricades for cover.
Yeah was looking for that. It was annoying after a few minutes in the video. The Unit lines and the error sound when placing a building where you can't
Why do the buildings take forever to build? The base area is also too narrow. At least the game looks nice and the units are not too tanky like in WC3.
Hi and thanks for sharing your observations with us all in the comments. I hope you will give you feedback to the developers as well on thei discord and Steam. Also, when you clear up the forest you get much more space.
I said before how much i like this and it has it's own unique presence BUT The only 2 thing i find so far been ripped out of warcraft directly and for 1 of them is really a surprised they haven't been sued yet for copyright is the SFX and U.I icons. Especially the SFX are like 99-100% audio files just extracted from warcraft. I hope the Russian dev team behind this are using it only as a placeholder for now and they will not ship the game like that 😅
Hi and thx for sharing your thoughts and impressions. I can't confirm that as I would need to basically have both files and compare, but I trust your judgment. No one can deny they are making a game that is so close to Warcraft. But at least they have an opportunity to make it different. If they don't use that opportunity...

@@MangaGamified you can always pick up a mic and record your own Orc uga uga sounds. No need to rip off the exact same from another game. I hope they didn't but damn most of the SFX like chopping and building are to my ears identical

Love it too, but not too fan of the APM creep, SC2 died cause everyone grew up and had families now, and the entry barrier is too high if not just cannon fodder for the remaining veterans, not leaving any next generation of players, IRL soldiers atleast know when to retreat and platoons have team captains to think and control their platoon, it's not an exaggeration to say, it's too much.
My dream rts is a mix of C&C, TA/Supcom and Coh/Dow. The wackyness of C&C with C&C/Dune2 style resource gathering with later C&C style unit veterancy. Plus TA/Supcom base building, unit spam, air+navy combat and monstously sized maps + most importantly scale and proper nukes normal to those games. Finally with the cover and terrain destruction of dow/COH. All units have no click spam active special ability! The only ability is to press the letter "D" to "deploy" like in C&C and to retreat units like in coh/Dow. Units would have more than one means of dealing damage. Infantry squads for example would have rifles and grenades etc, automatically use grenades or other weapons too. Etc.... There would also be an expansive base building system akin to a city builder. Like building roads to the tiberium deposit a great distance away on the map. Plus defences like turrets and walls us other crazy shit that are actually effective. It could have a commander mech unit too that is fully upgradable if you wish. Do you think it would be good?
@@v4skunk739 Me I just hope some RTS implement like an OpenAI "captain" for a small platoon and you just give a simple goal like to try to advance their territory meanwhile balancing economy and supplies. Straight to minuses: Everything is monotonous, everything merges into one mush. The units look boring, in a few months it will not be interesting to play. Perhaps the campaign in the game will be interesting, but I do not think so, most likely the campaign will be the simplest - "go destroy the enemy base".
