    Thank you all for the love and support on last week’s upload. Your openness in sharing your life, fears, and advice in the comments means a lot. I really love the community we've built ❤️❤️❤️
    If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know Jhaape has been sick for the past week. I'm pleased to say he is finally doing better 🐶🐶🐶
    Also thank you to Easyplant for collaborating with me on this video. Here is my link (valid for two weeks) to get 10% off - glnk.io/qzwjq/tisha-shrestha.

    Since the dresser is shorter and not as deep as the couch, it really does make more sense in front of the protruding wall. Because it's centered on that part, it looks more intentional. The space gained between the dresser and the window would be great for a small lounge chair of some kind. The mirror looks good in the little niche. Some kind of large artwork over the sofa would visually balance the TV on the opposite side. It's coming along great!

    I like the new layout of the living room! It looks more comfortable - you could get storage/bookshelves for the empty spaces you are talking about - or a comfortable chair in the corner by the window - thanks for sharing - it's always great to see ideas on how to decorate a NYC apartment!

    I say keep the dresser for more storage. I love the new layout for the TV and couch. It opens the floor for me. I love it! For the coffee table I say 1 or 2.

      Also, the couch does not have to be “centered” to the TV on the opposite wall. It’s ok if it’s off center a little bit.

  • @helene7137
    @helene7137 7 месяцев назад +9

    I prefer the old layout for your living room - with the new layout, the first thing you see from hall is the TV. It would be better to see your beautiful couch from the hall. I like coffee table #3 the best, and I think a larger area rug in the living room would make the room look bigger than a smaller rug (not cut the room in half). Your apartment is really looking good - I hope you put pictures on the wall soon!

  • @PenniJones-og7ux
    @PenniJones-og7ux 6 месяцев назад +1

    The smaller the rug, the smaller the room will appear. Try to get a large enough rug that at lease the front legs of every piece of furniture sit on the rug.

  • @VaneezyTV
    @VaneezyTV 7 месяцев назад +15

    Definitely get #3 coffee table, the skinny legs will help the place look bigger & for the rug, leave about a foot & a half of the wood exposed by the tv console & you want to tuck in about 1/4 of the rug under the couch. It'll look so cute! For the center, yellow is always great. It brings in good health to your home.

    I like the original layout of the living room. Seems you walk into the corner of the couch right as you come into the living room. Jhapee’s back legs may be bothering him. That’s a lot if stairs for his little legs. Maybe you could carry him up the stairs, I know easy for me to say. The vet could tell you about his legs. Maybe get a ramp for the living room and bedroom? (Aren’t we all opinionated when we design your apartment!?😂)

    Even though the wall is sorter, I love your sofa & think it should be the focal point when you come into the room. I would do a gallery wall with colorful artwork above it. Maybe a floor lamp next to the sofa/in front of the window. I like the dresser. If you could mount the TV above it the top could be used for framed photos, your prayer wheel, some plants, maybe baskets for some storage, etc… I enjoy your videos every week, and think you seem like such a nice/fun/hardworking person!! 😊❤

    Hello Tisha I'm a mostly silent watcher I saw you got a huge bag of food for that precious pup you need to get a storage container to keep it fresh & keep bugs away. Gamma 2 works excellent. Pet food is slightly expensive & you want to keep it fresh too. I have them for my pets foods they work great & buying the larger bag will save you hope this helps! Have you thought about moving the TV to the wall where the windows are and the sofa with the back to the kitchen? Then, you could put your desk on the wall where the TV was originally, and plant stands in front of the window without the air conditioner. A huge art piece on the wall where your sofa was originally with a narrow console table below it. Just a thought. LOL I like all the coffee tables, but hate dealing with glass tables - they have to be cleaned almost daily. #3 would be a great contrast to the counch. Love your channel and watching you organize. 🙂

    I think it would be nicer to see the couch when you walk into your apartment vs seeing the tv... so the old layout is my preference but this is your space and you're the one living in it, so you do whatever makes you happy! Apologies if someone has already suggested this:
    Not rocket science but a tip to lessen the number of journeys to take a lot of cardboard/recycling downstairs is to flatten most, then put it all in the biggest box. Slide it down the stairs and then flatten the biggest box when you've removed the rest 😊
    I recommend a biiiggggg rug for impact and comfort and I think those boots are keepers (look what Nan used to wear kids!) plus they'd make nifty weapons!
    Great sponsorship btw and really good to see you nesting.😊

    🔮I think you should keep the couch on the other side and leave the mirror in the corner. You should keep the dresser for now and put it in your room, you could paint it a color you like and get a small headboard and work on getting a TV console, a coffee table and maybe a tv dinner table set so you could eat off them. Your Apartment is Beautiful !!🍸

    I think Chappiie may need help getting on your sofa and bed because of your floors being to slippery for him. Once you have a carpet or small rug that would give him traction to not slip when he tries to jump up on the sofa or bed. I do love your videos and your puppy. He is just like my little gal that since passed. He is so cute!

    I do like that the dresser and TV perfectly fit on that wall but it's totally a preference. I think a rectangular coffee table would be best. The rug should be big enough to at least line up with the sofa front and so the coffee table sits totally on the carpet. I like the new bedroom layout. I think the closet curtain is just too bold. I'd prefer a crisper neutral fabric. You want the closet to recede not become a focal point.

    Hi Tisha, you may want to place a runner or area rug in front of the couch for your fur baby to get a better grip for jumping up on it. The wood floor can be slippery for his little nails. My shihpoo started to request assistance at times with getting on the couch or bed which is lowered like as he got older as well and my entire space is carpeted.

    You should put back the couch how it was. It was better. You want to have a nice flow from your main door into the living room. Also, you can move the desk dacing towards the wall where the dresser was previously so the dresser and desk is next o each other. I will have a better flow and put some plants by the window and next to the couch on your left.

    I think it does work with the dresser on the protruding wall, but I think what throws it off is there's nothing on the opposite wall . Above the couch you need something to help ground that wall. Some artwork of some sort. I don't think a mirror would work because of the reflection back and forth from the television and I would get the biggest rug I can find. I would cut up a box or two into the shape of the coffee table you were considering and put it on the floor and see how it is to walk around it size wise. You might consider a rectangular storage coffee table that pulls up into an eating table, so you would always have a comfortable place to eat when sitting on your couch.

    One more! Also, as far as a dresser in your bedroom - - you could get a tall dresser that is narrow to save space. Or, you could get the same type of dresser, BUT, put it in your walk-in closet that is in the hall! And, I've seen on a lot of design shows, building something ( or, maybe you can buy it ) that goes around the radiator so that it is covered ( safely ) and then creates a shelf on top of the radiator for picture frames or even a plant in non-winter months. Okay, I'm done....🤣🤣

    Tisha the new layout of the living room looks great! And the empty spaces adds more air and light to your apartment 🤩 and I LOVE the prayer wheel, so beautiful.
    I agree with table pics 2 or 3! And I vote for the smaller carpet, cuz your wooden floor is GORGEOUS! 😍

    Tisha, I love the dresser in the living room. If I were you, I would look for a good chair for reading in the corner by the radiator. You have a light in that corner. Also, if you have a target there, I would definitely order a plant stand.if you are getting rid of your clothes, do not keep them in a box in a corner. Get rid of them and free up your space. You do not need the clutter. If I were you, I would change the bed to the opposite wall so you would not have to worry about the closet door hitting a night stand. Just a thought.

    I like the new layout Tisha, but it’s your home. Live with it for a few days and if it doesn’t grow on you change it back. Definitely go for a larger rug and artwork over your couch - one, big statement piece or a gallery wall. Love the new plants❣️ Definitely need to change up the curtains on your bedroom closet, I would go with something in a lighter fabric and a neutral colour so that it blends in with the wall.

    Coffee table #1, the shelves underneath provide extra space and glass is a bugger to keep dust and smear free!

    For myself dinning table is essential, so what I would do is put office chair in one of the corner that you have and than tabel facing the space and dinning tabel where your office desk is. But you need to be comfortable in your own space I live watching Alexandra Gater for
    space ideas.
    Thank you for another great video 😊

    maybe put the mirror in the corner next to the couch if you move it back... right outside the kitchen... possibly a plant in front of the mirror

    You need a nice painting above your sofa and maybe a rug (big)

    I like the new layout because it is cosier, because you don't see the front door when you sit there.

    I like the pink coffee table, it'll bring more color to the room and matches your office chair

    I think if you move the couch back to the other side, wall mount the tv and you will get a lot of space back….walking into the living room and into the side of the couch really make it’s smaller
