I raised a clutch of wood ducks once......the males were gorgeous.

Carole St. louis They are more common in countries such as Korea, Japan, and any other country nearby. Unfortunately, it would be harder to find a mandarin duck in the US since it is not their habitat and may only be found there if they flew there themselves or someone brought one in.

This has to be the best video I've seen out there on the mandarin duck! Such absolutely incredible colors on it and you captured it in such a pretty, serene environment. I could watch this all day! The background music is perfect for it, so peaceful and calming.

Honestly, I have never seen this level of beauty, this is so stunning it looks photoshopped. Am just in awe.
What a spectacle that Mandarin duck must provide when he is wooing the female. I have seen the Wood ducks as some came into my little pond last year, but the Mandarin Duck is exceptional in his beauty and I'm glad you were able to capture it in film. Very wonderful.

+Joan Ouellette Lucky you to have the Wood ducks in your pond, they are beautiful ducks. This little Mandarin has loads of personality, I am sure he'd be a hit with the lady Mandarins but so far I haven't seen any of those there, just the Wood ducks. Hopefully he will find love soon : )

Sure, mandarin ducks are beautiful but they Don’t belong in North America and are being released illegally. they compete with native wood ducks and other waterfowl for resources. Asians are notorious for illegally releasing creatures from Asia into North America. It is costing billions to control and attempt to eradicate them.

I wish I had mandarin duck.
It is very gorgeous multi-colours bird.it can live on tree twigs.
Swim gracefully in water.
I used to have to ducks but they became making noise when they start quacking , I used to bring them white snails to eat and buy bread then I cut in into small pieces and throw it in their bowl , I feel great happy when I see them taking bath and cleaning their feathers.

We have wood ducks in our back yard they are beautiful and fun to watch. They lay eggs in the duck box we have in our backyard unfortunately we never get to see the ducklings because they go in the swamp but it’s still cool.

This is Beautiful. Research has shown that Birds are the most jealousy creatures ever to be created. Every time you see a two birds,one is always male while the other is female. The most colored is usually the male. Isn't God awesome?
1:the fact that there was a segment showing two male ducks together in this proves you horribly wrong about two birds together mean a male and female.
2. the reason why these birds are so beautiful is due to sexual selection.
