- In this tutorial, I'll show how to draw a white or grey horse in graphite. The tips and techniques I share here can be applied when drawing any other lighter coloured horse in graphite. There are a few key factors to consider during the layering process in order to maximise depth and realism. When drawing white fur the subtle tones are so important and often forgotten so I always like to spend a decent amount of time bringing them into my drawings like this =).

I watched this on a BIG screen today and what a difference that made!! (vs my cell phone screen) Thank you thank you thank you!! This will help me SO much on the drawing I am currently working on. (A tan/ mostly white dog with short hair) I seem to get a little stuck after my base layers down and introducing the pencil work is where I kinda crumble. Very helpful!
