Dynasty Trades In 5 is a dynasty trade show that focuses on dynasty fantasy football trade strategy, rookie draft pick values, individual player profiles, etc. For each player we discuss whether or not they are a dynasty trade target for 2022 and 2023, and if we lean sell vs. buy. We also get in depth on the 2022 rookie draft class, the 2023 rookie draft class, and dynasty rookie pick values in general. We don't do dynasty mock drafts yet, but perhaps we will in the future! There are many great resources available to the community, whether it be articles, dynasty trade calculators, trade finders, etc. We try to focus on short form content that is digestible and relevant. So last week I created a test MFL league and assigned players to teams by having them take the highest rated player on the board (unless they really needed a QB) and then pulled their values into KeepTradeCut. I did 1>12 (rnd 1), 12>1 (rnds 2-4), and then snaking from rnd 5 onwards with the #1 slot receiving the 5.01. The values as of now are #2 (99), #1 (97), #3 (95), #4 (94), #6 (94), #5 (93), #7 (91), #8 (90), #12 (88), #11 (88), #10 (88), and #9 (87). This excluded draft picks and Joe Mixon who I accidently skipped over. Even with third round reversals, teams picking late are at a disadvantage looking strictly from a purely "market value" standpoint since what I did was have one additional round (round 4) beyond what even a third round reversal does have the order be 12>1.

Smart thinking. Creating my first start up draft this year and heard 50/50 on 3rd round reversal. 50% said it necessary. 50% said it didn’t matter one way or the other.
When you drafted the highest rated player, was it based on the KTC value or the the ADP?

Rewatching this gem of a video before my startup, and now have the 1.03 and 1.09. and i still have a real plan to recoup at least one 24 1st i had to spend in the trade. LFG.

Just rewatched this video before i did a startup draft. Got Burrow/Lawrence. Traded my 2nd and 3rd for his 1st and 10th. Feeling pretty good about that

KTC actually has a startup mode you can turn on. Fairly useful as a sanity check/calculator.

You can plug in specific startup picks. Example I just messed with: Startup 1.04 = Startup 1.11 plus a 2023 1st
@@russcoley6344 right yeah that awesome. That’s what I’ve done in the past with Dynasty Trade Calc. It’s especially nice when you’re trading like a 9.07, 13th and 19th for a 8th, 18th, yada yada. At least gives you *some idea of the value.
Just joined a 12 team SF start up and had to go back to this video and get some extra homework in. I’m picking 1.06 and looking to trade back to a later pick but not 100% sure what to ask for…. Definitely doing my research, this video was a help tho

I actually like that spot u can still get a good qb Lamar’s Jackson or Herbert or burrow then you can pair them with a high WR on the way back

I’m in a 10 team startup have the 10th pick and am considering going Jefferson & Chase back to back of the draft goes the way I think it will.
I traded away Zach Wilson in a 20 team 1 QB league in January 2022 (1 year ago) for Christian Kirk + 2022 1.11, which I flipped for Michael Pittman. My #1 QB is Kyler Murray, also have Purdy.
Love the show, love all three of you bros, but I have a question; truly want to understand the love for Pitts? London is probably the better passing option, why does Shane and Scott go nuts over a guy that didn’t have any competition his rookie year for work, and barley hit a thousand yards with one TD.

Traded Swift+1.09 for 1.02+2.02. I already have the 1.01 and 1.08. My thinking was to move off Swift with his injury record and before jamaal williams resigns, and thinking I can get a similarly productive RB at 2.02 in a deep RB class. Thanks!

We converted our redraft league to a dynasty league this year. Ended up in 2nd to last place. Offloaded my team for 8 2023 1st Rd picks (1.01, 1.03-1.06, 1.08-1.10) and 9 2024 1st Rd picks (possibly 1.01-1.09). Risking it all in these two drafts. What are my chances of making the playoffs in 2024?

12 team superflex I ended up getting Lamar and Herbert with my first 2 picks. Not sure how that happened but it did. It was before Lamar signed his new deal. I am good at qb obviously but my rb 1/2 is Chubb and cam Akers then wr 1/2 are devonta smith and Chris Godwin. Did I hurt my overall team while stacking the top QBs or should I be ok? Thanks

Hey so im in a 32 man idp league where we have a NFL team and their qbs, k, team defense. I were adding a second rb slot this year and a third wr slot. My rbs are Mckissik, Dowdle, Z white, D'ernest Johnson. WRs are Godwin, Theilen, Skowronek, Isabella, Tim Jones. Have lots of idp and all picks next 2 years. Any advice on moving pieces around to field the best team I can?

You look to be in pretty good shape. Put Bijan on that team, and maybe look to tack on that 1.06 to one of Jamo/Bateman/Dotson to upgrade

3 RR doesn't really help that much, as in SF the top QB's are still going early. In our 12 team dynasty SF TEP startup in June 2022, the Championship still came down to the guys who picked 1.01 and 1.02.
I had a question for Scott if he has time if not no bigy. I’m in a 12 TM superflex my QBs are kyler and geno smith. I have been offered lamar for the 1.02 the 1.07 and 1.08. I think it’s a little to much and have used some calculators that agree. But it’s hard to ever get someone to trade a QB. And I know Scott always says that when one is available you need to make a move because it’s so rare for someone to give up a qb. I have tried to trade for a lot of other QBs but no one will let one go. What you think? Thanks a lot.

Is there a reason most startups are snake and not auction?
I think it’s just the comfort level of snakes mainly. Everyone has done tons of snakes in redraft, bestball and dynasty, and lots of people still haven’t tried an auction
