The amount of engineering that went into this piece is incredible. Not only did they have to come up with a hinge to preserve the gems and fit the pop in, pop out mechanism, each component has to last several lifetimes, on a piece this valuable. This bracelet is a masterwork of jewellery, I’m amazed.

I don’t need to own it, but I would relish simply handling the bracelet to feel it, experience it’s MAGNIFICENCE - unlock the hinge, open and close it. Then release the watch and secure it. I wonder if it weighs much?

That is amazingly beautiful and the hand work are so skillful with artwork of unique features beyond EXPECTATIONS.
Gorgeous, I love everything they make, everything is enchanting, especially their pieces that have specialized mechanisms. Their enamel work adds yet one more dimension that most other jewelers don’t even try to match. Their watches make all others look boring. Their signature pieces are made with an imagination and creativity occasionally imitated, but unmatched, imo.
I had a tiny technical question which I know they won’t answer as they don’t read these comments, but I wondered from a construction standpoint why they didn’t use set-in screws on the back side, ones that would be either flush or just below the surface of the metal open work. I was wondering if those tiny screws on the underside would snag a fine, delicate fabric of a longsleeved article of clothing, a fine fabric or lace on a sleeve or something.
Of course the heads of them are very smooth, no question about that, but they appeared to be just ever-so-slightly above the surface, and the tactile variation in elevation made me wonder. Naturally, the rest of the bracelet itself offers opportunities to snag a delicate fabric, as any jewelry with stones can do, so the wearer would just avoid long-sleeved and delicate fabrics altogether. It’s just one of those tiny things I can’t help but wonder about. Not just how it could affect a fabric, but how it might feel against the skin. I’m like the Princess and the Pea with those sorts of things.
Fortunate is the arm that wears it, I would hope whomever owns it honors it and the artists who created it well by wearing it. Too many beautiful pieces of jeweled artwork such as this are not worn nearly as often as they ought to be. They deserve to be worn and appreciated. I appreciate them making videos of their fine pieces for those of us less likely to be in possession of such joyous, exuberant jewelry.
Agree. I wish that the royals would actually WEAR the crown jewels, I want to see them. They deserve to be worn and admired, not locked in a tower or saved for special occasions but I suppose they don't want to seem to be flaunting their wealth.
