I think the only compulsory insurance most lenders check is the building insurance as the property is bank asset until you pay off the complete mortgage. Other insurance like life insurance, income protection and critical insurance are good to have. These insurances safeguard you against unforeseen circumstances and minimize the risk of property repossession by the bank.
Life insurance is not mandatory but is recommended to avoid any future complications due to unforeseen circumstances. But as far as I know building insurance and mortgage insurance are mandatory 👍

No sorry, as we didn’t bring any overseas fund so not aware , but I guess if you contact any mortgage advisor they would be able to help you .
Ps. We have given the contact number of our mortgage advisor in the description if you want to check out.
Your parents has to write on a whitee paper that they are gifting money with their signature. You should tax overseas fund if it is above 7000 pounds
If you bring the money before 6 months it is not necessary to show the source , but if it is large amount of money it is different.
