@CorneilusGreen Actually it's not completely out because it's being argued by the oversight committee daily because of the ramifications of firing so many federal employees and then banning them from being hired. This feels like the perfect time to address the 'Both Sides' argument that always comes up when discussing Democrats and Republicans. Both parties claim to represent American values, yet when it comes to Black Americans, they consistently fall short-especially on the issue of reparations. Take the Supreme Court debacle as an example. In Obama’s final year as president, he tried to nominate Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court. Republicans argued it was 'unethical' for a president to appoint a justice so close to an election-despite the fact that the election was nearly a year away. Then Trump comes along and nominates Amy Coney Barrett just weeks before the 2020 election. What did Democrats do? They cried about fairness, complained about hypocrisy, and wrote books about it. And Republicans? They shrugged and said, 'Well, you shouldn’t have listened to us.' This is the reality: Not everything unethical is illegal. And Republicans don’t play fair because they don’t have to. Meanwhile, Democrats wring their hands, trying to be 'the bigger person,' and end up achieving nothing substantial for Black Americans. Both sides have shown that their commitment to fairness and justice doesn’t extend to the issues we care about most-like reparations. When it comes to reparations for Black Americans, both parties unite in their silence or outright opposition. Democrats, the supposed party of progress, are quick to pivot away from the topic, claiming it’s too divisive or impractical. Republicans don’t even bother pretending to care. And yet, every other group-Latinos, Asians, LGBTQ+, immigrants-gets targeted support and policies when they demand it. Why? Because they make it clear that their votes depend on it. Black Americans, on the other hand, are expected to show up for everyone else while receiving little to nothing in return. Let’s not forget the history here. Black Americans have been the backbone of every major social justice movement in this country. From the Civil Rights Movement to today, we’ve fought for the rights of women, LGBTQ+ communities, immigrants, and other POCs. We’ve stood in solidarity with everyone, even when it came at great cost to ourselves. But what do we get in return? Silence when it’s time to address our issues. Excuses when we demand reparations for the wealth and opportunities stolen from us through slavery, Jim Crow, redlining, and mass incarceration. Even worse, when elections don’t go their way, both sides blame us. If Republicans win, Democrats cry, 'Black people didn’t turn out!' If Democrats win, they immediately pivot to broader policies that leave Black Americans waiting-again. The hypocrisy is exhausting. Here’s the reality: Reparations should be the core issue of every election. It’s not just a 'Black issue'; it’s an American issue. This country was built on the backs of enslaved Black people. The wealth and power America enjoys today were made possible by the unpaid labor and stolen lives of our ancestors. If either party wants to be taken seriously by Black Americans, they need to put reparations on the table. Not vague policies that 'help everyone' but direct, tangible reparations for Black Americans. Just like other communities have their core issues, this must be ours. From now on, Black Americans need to prioritize ourselves. Support Black-owned businesses exclusively. Research where your dollars are going, and if it’s not supporting our community, redirect it. Focus on local, county, and state elections, because these are the races that directly impact our lives. Build our own infrastructure, strengthen our own communities, and stop expecting others to fight for us. And to those who claim to care: It’s time to prove it. Stop pivoting away from our issues. Stop using us for votes and photo ops while ignoring our demands. Reparations aren’t charity-they’re justice. If you can fight for tax breaks for billionaires or reparations for Holocaust survivors and Japanese Americans after WWII, then you can fight for reparations for Black Americans. Anything less is hypocrisy. Black Americans are #WakingUp to the reality of what America is and has always been. Both sides have failed us. It’s time to stop hoping for equality from systems designed to oppress us and start building the future we deserve. They can argue amongst themselves, but our focus must remain on our people, our power, and our progress.

It's worth noting that the Boston Celtics have opted to make their White House visit this year while Biden is still in office instead of in the Spring or early next year, when most teams usually do it. Just so they can avoid having to do so when Trump is in office. My guess is Trump, fearing that most non-NHL professional sports teams will opt to boycott any White House visits, will summarily cancel them altogether once again as he did during his first term. Maybe he'll still have them for the College sports teams where the student athletes won't have the option to opt out. (was that the one during his first term where he fed them cold McDonalds from the McDonald's boxes? Tacky) The Kansas City Chiefs and their MAGA-adjacent QB will prbably visit. As will the Florida Panthes....because....you know....FloriDUH! But maybe the LA Dodgers for MLB opt out (unless the MAGA-supporting MLB commissioner mandates it, which he likely will), but certainly the Celtic avoiding him will set the tone for other NBA champions going forward during his term.

I know many of you have been conditioned to believe you are too good to be part of a black Nation, well how is that belief been working out for you the last 400 years? 🤟🏿
This country is not a place for African Americans to feel hurt because they did not win the presidency, Obama's win was a pure miracle. Think about this no other European country has ever elected and African/black to being their president! The whole problem is being separated or denying your true roots, which black immigrants dont have. You dont see them crying their eyes out because America elects another European American male. Do you see Asian Americans tearing up because they have never even had an American president? No, because they know where they come from, and its only natural for the majority to pick one of their own.✍🏿
Great Clarification on important issues that affect the disenfranchised!🥺
Trump’s second term means no more confusion in women’s sports.
Title XI gone
Amen.
A man is a man. A woman is a woman.
Republicans know what a woman is. 🤣🤣🤣
Awww
So sorry to know that you have to live in fear for speaking the truth❤
Title Nine, Affirmative Action, abortion, The Fearless Fund, Critical Race Theory were all laws until Trump got into office.
There was a critical
race theory law ? 🤔
Where was CRT law 😂
Because your candidate lost, simple, now drink your tears
Like you will be when you see how shit trump is
@naithngr81-jh2bb we've already seen Trump's economy and no war policy. Pretty awesome by any means.

You mean the one that added $8 TRILLION to the National Debt, Record Deficit spending - ballooning the National Deficit from the $480 Billion he inherited to the $3.2 TRILLION he handed over to Biden - , created FEWER jobs than Obama's Economy or Biden's after him, and was actually the first president in American history to leave office with a net job loss?
That economy?
Bull craps no one wants to tell the truth
Trump dance - more like Trump geriatric siezure -- am I right?
You're a Trump haters
Your first female president will be Nikki Haley
It will be a Republican. Democrats won’t vote for a conservative woman though.

@@thebigoaktree8401Humans you don’t agree with are bots. Y’all tried that already and lost big.
I think in this particular election, Trump was the "MOST Qualified" nominee to run the country. I'm a Republican and White who believes in women's rights but Harris had NO BUSINESS running against Trump in this election. I'm fully ready to vote for a very qualified WOMAN either Black or White. I Love Candace Owens and could see myself fully supporting her someday if she chose to run. Very well educated, very bright, and well spoken on a lot of issues. She's a bit young yet but I could totally vote for her someday or someone such as Tulsi Gabbard.
In what ways was Trump more qualified? Be specific.
There have been PLENTY of women that have ran. NONE have ever won. Ande everytime one loses, folks say something similar to you.
Yoi shouldnt share your thoughts when they are that ignorant. Stop being racist
You people still don't learn!!!!! Take that “L” and love it!!!!!!!
I love how trolls say "you guys never learn," and never elaborate what the lesson was.
@ if you don’t know by now, then you’ll never know!!!!
You didn't 🙄
Water under the bridge. That said, what I don’t want in the next year or so is for black ppl who voted for him and are now suddenly unhappy with Trump, taking to social media to complain that Trump broke his promises, etc. What y’all need to do is accept everything that comes with the territory in having voted for Trump.
@@amarbyrd2520 Thats why your team lost dummy!!!!!! Lmao
