  • We took a STOCK 1983 Toyota Sprinter Trueno/AE86 for a drive on one of Japan’s most famous roads: the Hakone Turnpike. This was the setting for the 5th stage in initial D, and is just an all round super fun Japanese mountain touge, so what better place to bring this iconic piece of JDM history. See what we thought of the car, the photos we took, and how we took them!

Ricky, this was amazing! So many good things to talk about! Every single driver seat is worn like that! The plastic seat backs are worth gold!!
Also, the setting, the wet day and fog is peak ae86 conditions! Literally perfect! A wet foggy night was always the night I would go out messing in my ae86s. Such good memories. This was a great reminder of how much I love them!

Ah man! Means so much hearing that from you! You are literally one of the reasons I picked this car, never really understood why they are loved so much, but literally the minute I sat into it, I just knew! Some yoke! Let me know if you have any suggestions for other Japanese cars and I'll see if I can get my hands on em 🤟🏻

Cool video and some awesome shots dude. Cool channel overall, you’ve got my sub. My only suggestion is the audio mix: whenever the music picks up and the piano and bass kick in, it becomes close to impossible to hear what you’re saying =/

Thanks so much for watching! And appreciate the feedback! Sound has definitely been an area I've struggled with, but working hard on getting the levels right with the next video, stay tuned!
