Samsung galaxy s21 fe and google pixel 6a
Both phones are one of my favourite phones in 2022.
I rreally like 4k selfie camera and Optical zoom on samsung galaxy s21 fe.
However google pixel 6a offers very natural colours and has better battery. But this test is all about the camera.

A few things I can say about the 6a (which is replacing my S21 Ultra during repairs):
1. The 60hz display doesn't look bad at all thanks to the incredible buttery smooth animations of Android 13, much better than those on the S21 Ultra (!!)
2. Battery doesn't last much (mine does ~5hrs sot) AND recharges very slowly (1h50')
3. Haptics are crazy compared to Samsung's! The thing transforms my furniture into sounding boards when ringing, and the typing itself is so reactive
4. Selfie camera is absolute rubbish
5. Rear camera gets away with it thanks to good big G's ai processing
6. One UI has some cool features missing on Pixel UI, and vice versa
7. Google apps seem to work much smoother on Pixel, and installing apps from the store is lightning fast! It literally takes one third or even less of the time compared to S21

I think 6a is the better choice..if you are a camera guy (awesome stability while shooting videos) and a budget phone...

Thanks for the comparison Dariusz. Camera output on both are really good and they trade blows. Having owned both devices I had issues with OneUI and the lag. I thought I had a faulty device so bought another one and the lag was still there also didn't like the weak haptics. My friend had the same issues and went back to his S20FE. The Pixel is much smoother in day to day running and I take that over the S21FE for reliability and smoothness.

Both seem pretty good, they each have their own strengths and weaknesses. White balance seems a bit off at times on the pixel. Pixels have always struggled a bit with inconsistent white balance

S21FC looking under exposed & dull
Versatility of the telephoto option wins it for me, that and all the other flagship features (wireless charging, gorilla glass victus, Dex, the list goes on) but undoubtedly 6a is a great value choice for Pixel fans.

Victus or GG3, they all break/scratch irrespective of their tall claims.
Dex isn't used by most of the people and wireless charging is pretty slow tbh.
Better haptics, cameras, brighter screen, better battery-life, compact size, pixel experience etc are the pros for Pixel 6a.
*Those who want a telephoto lens, 120Hz etc should indeed consider the S21Fe.*

All of those features don't matter to a lot of people anyways. I've owned 2 Samsung phones and 4 flagship phones with wireless charging and have never used either one of those features.
Wireless charging is so slow that it's pointless, I'm not that lazy to connect my phone to my charger and have it charge in less than an hour.
And Samsung Dex, the most useless thing ever. I have a computer for a reason. Plus the fact that you have to buy an HDMI to USB C connector to use Dex comfortably otherwise if you do it wirelessly it looks like shit at 480p and works at 30fps which looks horrible. But wasn't the whole point of Dex for it to be convenient?
What's the point when I gotta have extra wires to connect my phone to something for it to properly work?
And then we come back around to the solution where almost everyone has a computer than they can use.

Better haptics is over rated tbh, 120 hz super amoled+ from Samsung >>>>> "brighter" screen, I mean who uses your phone under direct sunlight all the time? 80percent of the use will be indoors and the display of FE is actually decently visible under direct sunlight, compact size is preferred only by a macroscopic minority, the sales of such phones shows it, one ui has much better useful customization options compared to pixel experience which is basically buggy as well.
So yeah, those who want better overall camera system, better display, better build, flagship features like ip68, wireless charging, comparatively stable ui, etc can go for s21fe. However, those who want..well..an inferior phone can go for pixel6a and play the justification game lol.
Stabilisation is too good in pixel than in samsung
Its a close one, i prefer the softer colour pallete for the samsung in videos, but the pixel marginally takes it for better photos, but i can't help thinking some of the pixels photos and videos are overly processed and sharpened, its a tough one for sure.

pixel 6a video quality is far better than samsung s21 fe. color are punchy and image sharper. good comparison great.. im usinge pixel. now its offer in india at 335$ . it will great choice.

White balance is off on the pixel, over sharpened and too much contrast. Underexposed too
@@marksouthwell4490 s21 fe produce very soft images, high saturarated. in pixel contrast and sharpening issue are there but only when you are clicking in 2x.

I must say the pixels camera is pretty good and you can tell by the grass. I ALWAYs been a SAMSUNG FAN. THIS TIME I have to give it to Google Pixel The quality is pretty good but it all depends on the quality and THE settings that you put on the Samsung to make the quality look better. But if you ask me I am watching it ON A low 360 quality view right now because I have no internet in my house and I will have to watch this video again in the highest QUALITY. TO SEE WHICH ONE LOOKS BETTER .
But we also know that Samsung FE21 came out super late And the phone was kind of rushed. That's why I don't really rank it the same price that they have it for $600 or 700 in the United States depending on what How many gigs are going to get which there is only two 128 gigs and 256 gigs. Unfortunately they don't have any more higher than that.
I remember when this phone was realised I wasn't recommending it as it was too expensive in my opinion. Now since the s22 series's are out makes more sense to buy the s21 fe

Something was wrong with the s21 FE I hope when doing the selfie video at the beginning. Otherwise the S21 FE has more natural colours. The Pixel 6a in video looks fake to me. You really think it was more accurate? Especially in the first video. In the second video it looks like both had issues with artefacts. Samsung it is the artificial sharpening causing those and on Pixel 6a probably the lower bitrate.
In Slow-Mo the Pixel 6a suddenly overtakes the oversharpened Galaxy footage by adding a ton more sharpening on top.
In photos the Pixel 6a seems to have more accurate colours not so fake sky colour. Pixel 6a has good HDR only sometimes overdoing it.
Definitely in terms of colour accuracy pixel wins. On the other side Samsung s21 fe offers a lot more for the money. The 3x optical zoom is doing pretty amazing job I have to say ☺️

@@PriyanshuRaj6 Nah. Samsung is by far not my favorite. I just had my experiences with Pixel6 and so assumed the 6a is doing the same.

I have to disagree, i prefer the pixel over the Samsung. I don't care about 4k as 1080p is still good enough and I'm not much a film maker. For photos the pixel is a clear winner, better colours, more detail and better hdr. And for zooming the pixel is at least on par until 3x of 4x. I personally never go any further.

I knew the pixel had to be better. Its only right because Google's had the same sensor for a long time now and I think they've perfected the software and pushed it to its limit!

Samsung is the current king of HDR..I used lot of mobiles and I am coming back to samsung...Because whatever the situation is It's HDR performance is brilliant..It's auto mode is great..no manual tweaks..Also portraits on samsung flagships is one of the best..Samsung 2years ago behind pixel and Apple.. After s20 series samsung flagships are taking great portraits..One UI is improved..

The dynamic range on Pixel 6a videos is clearly much better. S21Fe is better with the telephoto shots though.
As always, S21Fe is more cool and vibrant while the Pixel 6a is more warm and slightly punchy from the rear lens.

Depending what is your priority.
If you don't use 4k video for vlogging etc and you don't make many portrait shots than pixel 6 is just fine.

This is Snapdragon version and it does better in terms of performance. Sadly battery on s21 fe is just ok

stablization was better on pixel because its croping video ..which means google procession behind camera ...if you put stablization effects in seflie video in video editor it will come out same as googles ..croped with stablized

Samsung background overexposed background in vedio😂
Pixel camera is by far better than Samsung for regular snap photos. Videos are similar, color balance is different but quality is close. Selfie video is something that samsung has a lead over pixel, but i dont think many people care for selfie videos. 60hz vs. 120hz display is something 90% of the people cant tell the difference from. Pixel is better choice if you want amazing camera and amazing software with google android, battery is great for a smaller phone, best buy for its price and its not even close. Cant tell why you still chose samsung tho, but i guess you're in minority based on all the comparisons of pixel from top creators
Thanks for sharing your opinion. I agree pixel is great and I think pixel 7 pro is the best phone on the market at the moment and I did compare the camera with S22 Ultra and still preferred the pixel. However the midrange pixel 6a can't really compare with flagship low end s21 Fe in my opinion
@@DariuszTech Pixels in general are good and probably will just get better. But, pixel 7 pro and its price in my opinion and in opinions of many more is not worth the upgrade. 300$ vs 900$ and camera is not really that better. However, i am looking forward to pixel 8 series and s23 to really decide which one is worth going for. Anyway, thanks for putting the effort in these comparison videos, they are really helpful.
