    If it’s true as you say these are in major mode, it’s a definite deal killer for me. Just compare the feeling of Ethera mostly in minor mode to this!

    Thanks for demoing this. I think I was expecting a bit more. I'm sure it's quality but seems a bit redundant to what I already have and the amount of times I would use the unique sounds doesn't really justify the total cost for me. Will probably file in "wait for the Christmas sales" pile which is already mountainous.

    Heavyocity comes up with the goods again!
    Do I really need another vocal library? Probably not, but when you find one this good you have to have it!

    I’m lucky enough to have this library and the other HOC vocal instruments . I really like them….the thing for me is when I audition recordings using these libraries , on studio monitors ,I feel they have presence ,sonic clarity ,they easily occupy a place in the stereo field very nicely ,, no need to , if you don’t want to gild the Lilly with reverberation to get a decent result .🙏👍🎩🎵

    Would be nice to hear some new vocalists. I feel this sounds a lot like Ver. 2 which I have.

    I loved v vocalise 2 but since I first bought that I bought the ZeroG ether series and tend to use that now mostly for legato , but on the basis of your review I may have to revisit the vocalise line . Great review thanksyou .

    Impressive library! Giving the Zero G Ethera series (which I love) some serious competition - Great review - Thanks!

      Yes I love Vocalise Series. But Vocalise does't have playble TRUE Legatos , and that is a big difference :-) So they are different libraries , and that is interesting.

    Good Video! I just bought it as my first Meavyocity Library. Im quite new to this, how can I adjust the tempo of this? Or do I have to render it out and make if faster afterwards to fit my Track? Thank you!

    I kept away from this series because every preset was locked to a key. I could be wrong though. Can somebody tell me, can I play their A minor preset in whatever I want, like D minor? I see the keynswitches, but how does that work, is the root
    note? and is this playable or mostly phrase based?

    • @keithgrahammusic
      @keithgrahammusic 2 года назад +1

      He shows you how to do this at around 6 minutes in. It’s can be phrase based but is also playable depending on what you select.

    • @es__music
      @es__music 2 года назад

      @@keithgrahammusic Ahh yea I don't like that at all. Why just make it all playable across the key range so we can use music theory plugins if we have to.

    • @keithgrahammusic
      @keithgrahammusic 2 года назад +2

      @@es__music I can see why they did it that way. Imagine having to get all those singers singing all the phrases and notes and pads in every single key. That would take forever. So instead they have two keys. You also couldn’t sing in one key and sample to all other keys because if you choose a higher key it speeds up the sample making it shorter. It then has to be time stretched to make it the same length as the original key. Time stretching by too much does weird things to the sample. So they recorded two samples D minor and A minor I think. That way you can choose the closest to the key you want without changing it too much. It really isn’t a big deal once you start using the program. Many of the Kontakt libraries work this way.

    I am thinking about buying this one but already have Arturia's Augmented Voices and Heaviocity's Mosaic Voices. Do I need this one? What's the big difference between Mosaic and Vocalise 3?

    • @es__music
      @es__music 2 года назад

      To my ears, Vocalize 3 seems to have more of a vibrato, upfront sound. Like an actual recording of somebody singing. While Mosiac Voices has a more synth sound, even in their organic patches. I bought Augmented strings and I immediately deleted it. It's more synths based on vocals, not readily available cinematic vocal sounds.

      @mistral-unizion-music Год назад +1

      @@es__music You mean Augmented Voices, right? Augmented Strings and Augmented Piano are pretty cool to my taste. I just tried Augmented Voices in demo mode and it was ok but as you say, not really cinematic, more synthy so meh... I will not get it unless on big sale. Not at 99 bucks.

    • @es__music

    Can this be added as an instrument on a midi track with individual notes drawn in to the region?

    • @keithgrahammusic

      Yes it can. I use it that way.

    • @youngamerican100
      @youngamerican100 2 года назад

      Very cool. Do you find that it can effectively take a piano melody and turn it into a vocal melody? I haven’t been able to find any videos showing this.

  • @erestube
    @erestube 2 года назад

    Personally, I'm beginning to see this atmospheric vocal style as a fad that's reaching over-saturation. Are there no "instruments" with straightforward vocal hooks out there?

    • @rawsoundscreation1278

      There are very very few solo vocal vsts. It must be tremendously difficult to make. There is ethera, which can be kind of clunky (never mention this to the dev, he gets furious very quickly.) But it does have some good points.
      Jaeger has some vocals I believe.
      Era II Vocal Codex sounds really solid.
      Atelier looks promising.

    I like the VST But by this time more cultural diversity is greatly needed. The European and Asian vocal tones are becoming quite bland, boring, and sterile. There's a great big and wonderous world of female vocalists but yet the status quo continuously harps on white and Asian vocals.
