How did Netts climb that hill 😮 engine sounded like it's last legs . Definitely needs a engine upgrade or overall check up . Enjoyable video in the fine British winter 🥶❄️
I still think it's better to have the thermostat replaced, it's not expensive and for the engine it's better to run at the correct temperature, not only because of fuel consumption but also to prevent extensive wear. Of course a separate diesel heater is also a good idea for when you are stationary on a campsite 😄

@leonielawrenson7606 Thank you 😊. I'm staying on another day as the weather isn't looking great across central Yorkshire which was where I was going to stay on the journey back. X

I have a 1988 Renault trafic camper, I find if you build some momentum before you start to incline, and open the blowers in the cab to take some heat off the engine and keep foot down in third gear until you reach the top, all is well. Steeper hills, a steady 20 mph in 2nd and don't lose your nerve
I'm definitely feeling the cold now I'm back in the UK,after six weeks just before and over the Christmas period in Tenerife with most days averaging 25 to 28 degrees, but it does go colder at night but you only need to wear a jumper and a pair of trousers to stay warm, but a friend and his girlfriend who have lived there for nearly 11 years now, but they still come back to the UK for about a week or so in the winter, because constantly having sunshine every day can become boring, but in the UK we never know what weather we will be getting the next day, neither did Michael fish some time in the 90's we're not going to get a storm this evening,he was right there because we got a bleeding hurricane instead 😂👍
My last camper was a 95 Renault traffic and no she didn't like hills either 🤣. Its probably done me good tackling hills on my first trip, gives me confidence she can do them...at her own pace 😄
I'd mention all these things to your mechanic, thermostat, heater valve and about blocking off the rad and blocked fuel vent so you can enjoy your next holiday and not worrying about Netty. PS the fact that she warms up when idling points to her over cooling herself.
Sweet baby Jesus Carol Ann, my heart was in my mouth when you were going up that hill 😂 I managed to get my company vehicle stuck down a lane last night & had to abandon it. We went down at 6am this morning and hand gritted the lane, it was -7 degrees. I wasn’t quite as chirpy as you are in your videos 😂🥶 Safe journey home.
