Beautiful video, I saw a few episodes back in the day when it was first airing on Sci-fi Now I had the opportunity to catch up on it on Netflix. I wish there was more. Long live the Brunnen-G.
thanks for your comments
the premise of the story is awesome
it has a dark humour & takes a swipe at our political correctness, corporatism & self righteousness, nothing was off limits & some episodes might be very disturbing to some extent but what a marvellous story
the end of Kai in the beginning & last series is very symbolic as well not sure how it can carry on without him
sadly the further production was stopped due to lack of funds but its interest never died among the fans
Помню!!!
Great video of an actual moment of the Great Insect Wars and I assume where Brunnis gets destroyed as well as Kai and the Insects
themselves (except for His Divine Shadow...WIsh they could use this in a prequel to Lexx!!!
I have always looked forward to a sequel or prequel of Lexx
its dark humour was great
One of the most weird things I've seen. But partly it was interesting
~ to serve life, even U.N.to death is divine as survival is the 1st meaning of all life
= to take it needlessly is to be nothing & reduce everything & everyone to nothing
+ life is the only thing lacking in our Universe, go serve it some and protect the living you find out their with all vigor & passion, it is the way forward, even for the U.N.living
You know, after seeing this I wonder what the point of building the Lexx really was. A 2000 year old ship could destroy a planet in less than a minute, and duplicates of this ship working together would make it faster. There is no real need for a giant super bug ship to blow up planets.
purely from Lexx fiction stand point, it was built on the orders of "his shadow" which was on warpath with the humanity and over years built up his empire through brute force, Lexx like other big ships was an intimidation weapon to teach the humanity a lesson.
I dont think normal logic applied with "his shadow" which was essentially an essence of a giant emperors that are so much full of themselves always look for big war toys to intimidate & draw sadistic pleasure. Lexx was going to be the flagship of the divine shadow and it would have sought humanity in the universe & destroy it, whoever survived would have told the tales of an immensely superpower ship that could one shot a planet
think thats enough of the nerd fiction for an evening
wheres the actual fight scene wtf
The Lexx is a story around the "ugly" vision of the future. The CRUD future. Star Trek and Star wars were hopeful, here their is a LULL in hope the say the least. It also is a vehicle with it's own standards and logic, that makes it unique. It's fantasy ride. Th Lexx is a kind of Death Star. The enemy is an Insect civilization. The Giga-Shadow is a secret rebirth of their super insect manifestation. The insects thought God created the universe with them as his primary creation and that Man was an inferior manifestation and a nuisance. Like Nazi Insect supremacist, They went to war and were almost wiped out. But they attained a power over flesh ans spirit to posses the bodies and minds of Men in the process. Thus, in time, they secretly rebuilt their power, and secretly caused Men to fight one another, like SATAN would, and to used the religion of the His Divine Shadow to control men and use them for their ends.I wish I could tie Prince into that. As if they caught him ans in exchange for his freedom he gave them a power beyond the mortal that they might make mischief and yet, he would hope, still destroy themselves.
this was late night program for some obvious reasons and it didnt pull any punches when it picked some very sensitive subjects
there is a lot of dark humour but some frightening aspects as well
the way Kai laughed at the irony for being granted a few moments of life at the end of the final season was also something saying like
thankyou fate/ luck/ god but no thanks

Hi, You know, they had a chance to continue the series. I wonder if they ran out money. Without KAI they could not have kept things going, but there was at least one more season in my imagination. You see, Prince could have secretly saved KAI on his ship. Price would have wanted the new Lexx for himself. He could have traded Kai for the ship. But, then realized the KEY would not accept him. Since the TIME Prophet told of time being a cycle in the light Universe, they could pass back into it thousands of years before the story we know, were KAI could go to Brunis ONE and teach the Bruengee song to his ancestors who now fight the Incect army in the WAR. 790 could be a help in designing weapons. If Prince tried to join the insects, they would eat him and his essence enter their hive, creating the beginnings of his divine shadow.
Robert Galletta great concept, I really loved prince. he really shines in the last season.
if they couldnt bring kai back then he had to be replaced with someone else but then again
the sad story of brunen g wont have had the bitter sweet ending we wanted
you are right about the show, they ran out of cash sponsors etc.
loved the way they didnt hold back on so many contradictions in our society
Is it worth a reboot of some kind?
