They can absolutely do it and in some cases do. For example, you can face a 3 day, 7 day, or 30 day restriction which shows they can do it but it isn't the only case in which they do. You may still get sales, especially for hot items but you will see a reduction in impressions and sales, sometimes drastically so. I had a 88% drop in impressions for dropping below standard for a month and 76% drop in sales. I once was scheduled to go below scheduled and until I got it fixed a week later, my impressions dropped by 57% and sales dropped 42%%. To prove this if you suspect it, you can search for your items using your own titles or keywords and it stuff will not appear and what does, isn't showing up anywhere near the top when it normally would. Combo players are money though. I even buy and sell the broken ones.
A helpful tip: Take some AA and AAA batteries with you when you go sourcing. Even a quick partial test of walkmans before you buy is a good idea, especially the cassette players.

What is the difference between throttle sales and suppressed listing when you are not doing promoted listening? Yes, Ebay does throttle sales in August, 2023.
Look out for the dvd players with the built in hard drives they sell even better last one I sold close to 300 and it just looks like a ordinary player just look out for that hdd logo or whatever it is

Had a question about the international shipping for ebay if anyone knows..I generally offer free shipping with my orders but only do sales in United States I want to open up more sales and offer international shipping I was told that items are shipped to Illinois at a eBay hub then shipped out globally if I offer free shipping do I only for the item to get to illinois or I am paying for the total cost of shipping?any international sellers if u can help me on the best thing to do for shipping international so it's not so expensive for me and the customer ?

I believe they are shadow blocking some listings because they don't have all that capacity to store everyone's goods.
